I got two off of me back in January they were very little. I wasn't sure how long they were on me. I found them on a Monday by Friday I started filling bad. Went to the Doctor the following Monday and she told me I had spotted mountain tick fever. Be careful and use insect repellent they say it will help but I'm not sure because I still find them on me when I go run my dogs.
Thanks,
David

Ran for about 2.5 hours yesterday and never got off in the weeds but still pulled 6 off. I hate these things and once I found the first one my skin has not quit itching. Sprayed down the dogs when we got home.

I guess we've been lucky. We have ran the dogs for several weekends and I haven't found any on me. Hopefully, that trend continues! lol

I got 37 bite marks Casey, and that's not counting what I brushed off me while in the field!

Have just been out the other night sitting in the woods listening to a PKC coon hound cast and picked one of those little suckers off of my back. Got a big itching welt now. I never even thought they would be out yet. I hope this cold snap last night and tonight makes an impact on them as it's supposed to get down to 27 tonight.

Beginning to look like a bad year for them in southern Michigan already. Been pulling them off dogs , and ourselves, now for a few weeks. We started seeing them even before all the snow was gone. Pulled 8 off one of my dogs just last week. Some areas seem to have more than others. There goes the theory of our long extremely cold winter , killing them off. Seems not too many years ago we never would even see them here in our area . But we sure have them now.
