I owned a bunch of dogs directly out of Striker when I was looking for the BBT years ago, There wasn't any of them dogs down this way at that time atleast to my knowledge, Farmer got the Wookie dog shortly after and had good luck with him I think in mid west. They ran real smooth, good nose, but had no hunt, and no foot (atleast to my standards) Ive seen these dogs crossed to I believe, Paul Kamornings (sorry about the spelling) Stuff and look pretty decent tho.

Andy P from NY breed his line breed Branco bitch IFC Dirty Pond Liaka to Striker a few times and had a bunch of those pups finish for there AKC Fc in Large pack. I believe at least one and maybe two out of those litters finished for there IFC. Ive watched some of those dogs out of those breedings run. One was IFC Dirty pond Blacky who was like I stated directly out of Striker and he had more then enough foot and lots of hunt. He would come to a check and work it so quick and move out before the other dogs could even get to the check and attempt to work it.....Andy is on this board and can be reached if you would like more info. I know he used to go to Adams and run with him and he told me striker was the best male he has ever seen run in over 30 years of beagling.....dh

When Striker was bred by Bruce Nutall to FTC Moneysunk Socket (ifc Taylors Sock It To Me x eastcoast trimmer bitch) FTC Moneysunk Mountainman was born. Monkman would own him until the Mans premature accidental death climber got hung on a chain he produced in every cross like crazy The Man put John Awfulbawlin Monkman on the map mainily breeeding him to Haunted Hill Shaker bitches. John sent me a few of his second stringers as gifts None lacked hunt were like Viagra and Hoser 3 day fox walker desire freaks. I had 2 from him never ran cottontail in their life first time both ran like champs. They had nose brains great hook up. You see the foot and big time hook up from Viagras off spring showing up today it was tangible and an inherit trait.Mark Trudell and Harry Snow Jr seen a lot the great ones run and are using it them selves The MAN was loaded with desire so was socket and her sire To Me was described as a great cottontail hound, snow hound, large pack hound said to be one the best come out the yankee state. What i seen out Striker seems his off spring were more pushey and had more search seems his pups were often better than himself. I saw a 15 inch field champion bitch run cottontail here at a derby age she was blistering fastt with big time hook up out of Striker (bottom side pacesetter/wingates brandon stuff) Proof is that Shaker Striker Maravics 3 lines that have produced and cross well together proven for 2 decades now.Got give the Trimmer his due too through Jack of All Trades and IFC Birch Haven Bruiser in the Maravics line big noseeeed hound with brains Blue Ninja's grand pa and known producer. Yep Andy P was an old buddy of Monks that Lika bitch and Blackey were 2 of the best for sure.

I just got in from running at Kuyhorra with Harry Snow JR., plenty of Striker Shaker bred dogs there.
I have owned several directly out of Striker and still have a few direct Striker pups and several grand pups.
One of the best dogs I ever owned was Dirty Pond Nelly, full sister to Blacky. Every Striker Shaker dog I own
and have owned had speed and hunt to spare, I am sure there are some duds and not every cross will be a
good one. Striker himself wasn't a real fast dog but he could throw it when bred to the right bitch.
From my understanding Striker threw in the brains and line control.

I have a female out of Branko's Red River Runner and a Striker female. She is a UKC PP GRCH and ARHA RCH. I've had her in one AKC trial and placed 3rd. She not a fast dog, but has good line control and check dog.

I have a striker bred bitch, FTC Colby Hill Trudy. great line control dog, and great check dog but lacks hunt. she is medium speed at best. a little to boxy of build for me, I like a more leggy hound for chasing Hare around. overall is a good hound in a pack to clean things up.
