Let my rabbits out for exercise they semi wild so I had a hard time catching them. They can run jump and twist they pretty fast. They Dutch / Flemish cross and they are what I am going to use in my so to speak starting pen for my pup. It is 3/4 acre fenced in so it will do for a small pup say 3 months old. Going to learn as I go.

Pups won't kill a pen raised rabbit, but hawks will. I turned 15 rabbits loose before leaving for vacation and returned 2 weeks later and couldn't fine a rabbit. Make sure you have plenty of cover. I had 2 12 week old siblings that would pound for 15 minutes, 10 minute break down and pound for another 15 minutes. This lasted all day long. Lots of fun watching young ones getting excited.

They 5 pounds and look to be the size of a wild cottontail. Run pretty fast do know how long they can run but they fast.
