If you want to save a little time I can put you on hare here in upstate ny. We hunt fort drum mostly and have a great population the last few years for hare. Also got some private land you are more than welcome to try. But for sure Maine is a sure thing for a lot of hare and non stop runs

I live in southeastern ohio about 4 hours from Toledo or Cleveland. I could without a doubt go to Michigan on a weekend and be fine with that. java village in new York is the best field trial I have been to I didn't get to see a hare but the running was awesome. I would probably have to stay longer if I went to the new England part of the country.

I was born and raised in north east Ohio, then in the mid 80s I moved to the northern part of Wisconsin. The Hare hunting is awesome and the numbers are pretty good. Way more fun to chase Hare than cottontail.

we went to u.p. last year in Michigan ..Drummond island ...hare numbers are down ..there was a lot of hunters there so I see why. I shot 2 . it was fun.. we had a race of nearly 4 hours. it went well over an hour before we had a check . long long ride ..I wouldn't do it again except in a plane ride lol. but it was very fun .

I just wrote my check and mailed the application for my non-resident Maine hunting license. October will be here before we know it.
