Plastic flooring panels for above ground

Post by rabbithunter5890 »

I'm thinking of ordering some of the panels from farmtek, but I'm worried about the holes being big enough for waste to go through. Can those that have built kennels with this flooring give me some insight?
Thanks

I had 2 kennels biult with the dura bench and it was the pits. Poop would not fall thrue and would get stuck on the back or underneath the panel and required constant scrubbing. Finally replaced it with wire and will never go back...... Dh.

I have had plastic flooring for 2 years . Will never go back to wire. I have never shovel any out of the inside. I have 8 10inch swivel rubber wheels on my kennel. I can push it any where. And my kennel is a 10x10 real nice.

rabbithunter5890 - just a thought outside the box. some seem to like the plastic and some seem to prefer the wire so why not use both? my kennels are 4' x 8' and the flooring is split with plastic on the front and 1 1/2" wire on the back. if they crap on the front ya just push it to the back. it's the best of both worlds.
