TC Contender Safety Spring Help

Picked up a .45/.410 barrel for rabbit hunting. I knocked out the pins to clean the frame and cannot see a place where the safety spring goes? There is a small ledge on the side of the safety but the spring just falls out. This is an older Gen. 1 Contender. Can anyone help?

go to encoreclassifieds.com and post it up. wealth of knowledge they can help u out if u still need it. ive had both generations but ive never tore them down that far so i wouldnt be any help.
