It's gone.

It seems that some folks have a hard time disagreeing without being disagreeable. They may have also temporarily forgotten that we all have one common denominator and that's our beloved little hounds.

The best way to treat a situation is to ask yourself if what you are writing, would you say the same thing in front of your mother or child. If you answer that you wouldn't, then maybe it should be re-phrased so that you could say it in front of them.

The best I can remember is that the UKC took care of it. Right, wrong, or indifferent. :D

Randy, this is my board so I'm assuming you mean my agenda. Was hiding your name in the first post of this thread helping your agenda? What is your agenda? I dumped that thread because it had deteriorated to the point where it was hurting MY agenda, which is to maintain some resemblence of decency to this board, and keep the complaints coming to my inbox to a minimum. If you follow the Funny Bone forum, you'll see that I often delete jokes that go over the line, too.

I'm not opposed to sensitive subjects, and I allowed the debate go for days. I even participated. If I were worried about any other agenda, it wouldn't have made it past the first post, the first day, but I don't need Mitch and a few others on here going postal, swearing like sailors, getting off-topic, and attacking each other. What kind of agenda does THAT support? Not beagling.

If you will remember, I LOCKED the very first thread on that ARHA PP mess because it was started by anonymous people who looked like they were just trying to stir crap. The only reason I left the second ARHA PP thread was because the people ACTUALLY INVOLVED in the incident came forward, and the other side involved posted as well. NOBODY directly involved in the UKC misconduct incident was even PRESENT in the thread I deleted. It was just a bunch of cussing and finger-pointing, and nothing was coming from it.

NOT that I OWE any of you an explanation as to how I run my board - this place is not owned by stockholders, but I know regardless of that fact, many of you still FEEL your OWED a response to every loose-lipped accusation posted on the board, so there it is.

One more comment to address the first question; the people involved in that incident are obviously not going to come forward and give any answers, so it's beating a dead horse to keep bringing it up. I don't think those handlers even post on message boards, and Todd Morgan is not going to discuss those disciplinary actions, or justify UKC's decisions on a message board. There are other forms of communication if a person has questions of this nature. You might get your answers by e-mail, phone or private messaging.

Those folks involved in that post were banned from the UKC board.

I wont be debating this any further Bev. For me to make my point I would have to lower myself to a level where I would feel uncomfortable and be jeopardizing more than this is worth to ME........seeing as how I consider you and Ralph friends and this is TAB board. I respect what you folks do and your position in this.

One point I will make. The message board helped a lot in the ARHA mess I was involved in. The good the bad and the downright ugly lies.......they all stayed posted, but this is different.

End of story. You win!

Have a good day,
Randy

I feel like I need to jump in here and try and help to clarify a few things. No sense in fine folks hurting a friendship over such matters.

I was ticked to say the very least about some of the things being said in that particular thread. I made it very well known that I was ticked and even though Aaron tried very hard to curtail some of the nonsense taking place, a couple things still made it through.

Now mind you, I have used some filthy language in my past and regret doing so (not on the boards, but in life). However, the part that got me is when my seven year old daughter was standing behind me reading a post and asked me to explain a particular act that was vulgar to say the least.
This got me going bad. I'm not so naive to think that she is never going to hear this stuff, but I just expected more out of adults that frequent this board. If my seven year old can't read it then we shouldn't be writing it where other seven, eight, ten, twelve year olds can read it.
If were going to write that kind of stuff on an open forum for anyone to read then we might as well put links to porn pages on here while we are at it.

I appreciate the steps that Bev and Aaron took to eliminate the problem. If you are gonna be mad at someone for the post being yanked then be mad at me. I won't apologize for not wanting kids to read that trash that was posted.
If people want to debate in a civil manner that's one thing, but the ignorant, classless stuff that was being written wasn't fit for anyone to read, much less a child.

Thanks Bev and Aaron.

James :D

Amen James! My oldest daughter often looks over my shoulder at these posts too. I'm also glad to see the post gone. It's like the old saying, "a sour apple will ruin the whole barrel of apples"!

Just for the record, I had been following that thread for a few days and was finding it somewhat humorous watching grown "men" go at it like they were. I shouldn't have followed it any further when I saw the turn it was taking, but I too was wanting to figure some things out. It just so happens that on that particular night, my daughter was standing behind me reading the posts and I didn't even realize she was there until she asked me the question about one of the posts.

I blame myself partly for even reading the trash, but the damage was done by then. It was at that point that I had to wonder just how many other kids were reading what these "so called" adults were writing.

To mask your IP in IE click tools, then internet options, then conections, then lan settings, put check mark in proxy server and then type in a proxy address for example 24.13.177.211 and make port 80. And then click ok on everything.

Not all proxy servers are truly anonymous. Some of them let the system administrator of the site that you visit via a proxy server find out the IP address from which the proxy server is accessed, i.e. your real IP address.

The only way I know of is through third party proxys, however that relies on the third party ensuring that your anonymity is maintained.

The Downside to Doing this Is that You May not be able to get on your favorite Sites like TAB. All The Site Administrator has to do is limit the Proxy to only those valid IP addresses no others Would be alowed.

As far as opening the port 80 Go Ahead This is one of the hackers Favorite Spots to hit Ever hear Of Trojans Password Stealing Virus Applications love Ports such as .80 and .180
