can anyone tell me about how they score dogs also how many dogs in a cast how long they run etc

They run 5 in each cast.
They run for 1 hour.
You don't have a actual judge but a card holder. They responsible for marking all scores. Cast has to have majority vote before card holder marks scores.
Points for claiming strikes. 100 for first strike 75 for second strike 50 for third strike 25 for fourth strike 0 for fifth strike
You do not have to claim strike but after 3 barks you have to claim it. Hound has to make forward progress if not they get -100 etc. Once hound struck in they got 3 min to move it. Only 1 strike claiming on each rabbit.
After hounds struck in and running they will try establish a line. "See rabbit cross"
If rabbit is not seen or holed up cast will make vote on 100 circle pts.
If line is established where rabbit crossed you have total of 10 ft, 5 ft each side of rabbit. First hound crosses line gets 100 line pts then 75,50,25,0.

it is 4 dogs per cast. And yes it is like ukc.

Isn't "Check" work in its basic form rewarding dogs for losing the rabbit in the first place?
