Bang for your buck diamond puppy chow seems to do all right, small pieces absorbs liquid well also for transition stage.

Diamond or Pro Plan. I think there is a little more waste with Diamond but pups seemed to do well on it!

Pro Plan, Chicken and Rice is my personal choice, but the Lamb and rice is good as well.
If you really want to take your pup development to another level put them on Nupro.
Nupro makes a good dog food great and there development of muscle tone and overall appearance is obvious.
Fantastic stuff....

Jim, about how much nupro do you give your pups?

Nupro is probably cheapest on Chewy.com.
I buy the 20 pound bucket, but you can buy it by 5 pound containers as well.
For small pups, if a litter(5-7). I put one heaping scoop on food then shake around to cover as much food as you can. I coats the food pretty well as it is a powder.
If I were to be feeding one pup. I would put probably 1/3 off a scoop or so... enough to coat the food well. Up to a half scoop would be fine for one pup. I tend to just put about a days worth of food out for the pups and they work it over all day. I watch to make sure they don't go without feed long. When I see them leaving just some in the pan I know they are getting enough and I just keep it about that amount.
Nupro has pretty good instructions on the bottles or bucket. I have had great success with it. I am going on multiple litters I have used it on and the pups all turned out very, very nice. Seems to help with Digestion as well. As you know puppies crap a lot...lol.
They crap some less with the Nupro and it is much more formed like older dogs.
Good luck!!!

Thanks Jim, I have the 20 pound pale also I feed it to dogs I'm conditioning hard to give them A little extra when running a lot. I also fed it to my female during breeding and gestation and weaning I truly believe this is where it shines for me as the female had six very healthy and she stayed optimal shape throughout. It never even came to me to give it to the pups but that makes sense and makes me feel stupid for not thinking of that on my own. Sometimes the simplest of answers are right under our nose
