Who remembers task wormer ? Both my papaws had hounds 1 had coon dogs the other had fox hounds .The only wormer I remember back then say the 60's was task and happy jack football styled . Seems the task was a good wormer. Does anyone know if task wormer is still made ? Hadn't seen or heard of it in yrs .

i remember some green, and some purple. shaped like little footballs. you had to shove them all the way down the dogs throat. if they busted in the dogs mouth you just about had to put the dog down. they quit eating and drinking, it was like the liquid inside burnt them.. probably why they are no longer around.

Yeah, I remember "Task" wormer. I think it was too good so they removed it from the marketplace. Kinda like DDT.

I don't remember the brand but do remember the purple footballs and how hard it was to get some dogs to swallow them. They seemed to be about the size of half a thumb and heaven forbid if you had to give a dog two of them!

I'm not really interested in the football ( Happy Jack ) wormer . Don't remember MFG . seems it was kinda rice shaped / sized & clear granuals . Both my papaws sore by it ! Like I said & agree with NEWST , I think it was so good the money men ( Pet vet's ) somehow got it removed or bought the MFG out to get it off the market .
Around here back then we never heard of heart-worm's so don't know , but dought it killed them . Wasn't till the late 70's , early 80's we started seeing heat-worms , most from hounds purchased form the deep-south , FL. & LA . & lower AL. .

No big deal , just wondering if it may still B around maybe under another name ??

task was a hog wormer, it was clear granuals and came in a small pack. 10 lb 20 lb and30 lb. best hook womer I ever used. a vet might can still get it.
