INDIANA'S 2ND ANNUAL ALL SPORTING DOG MEETING SET

This is a good place to inform fellow hunters about bills and other legislation that may jeopardize our rights to hunt and free cast our hounds.

INDIANA'S 2ND ANNUAL ALL SPORTING DOG MEETING SET

Post by jackrabbit »

Dear Sportsmen and Women;

The second annual all sporting dog meeting is scheduled for Sunday August 27,2006 at 3:00 pm. The location will again be at the Gander Mountain Lodge in Indianapolis, Indiana.

I know there will be those of you who have other commitments and won't be able to attend. Hopefully you will pass the information on to other members or officers in your respective organizations and an alternate can be located.

The Meeting agenda is going to be loosely put together once again. We do have some extremely important current issue to address, some good and not so good announcement to make, we will go over our success' from last years meeting, take up any and all new issues you bring with you concerning the venue of sporting dogs you are involved in. We will also look closely at the possibility of forming a permanent organization much like the Kentucky Houndsman. We also have some unfinished business that was not covered last year.

As with last year there will be several door prizes that will be given away. There will also be a drawing for one very large hunting related prize that will be announced at the meeting and will include two hunters. You are not going to want to miss out on this meeting from all aspects. As like last years meeting further information and directions will be forth coming.

I do apologize for the short notice.

Also, as a side note to our friends traveling the high/by-ways of Indiana, our illustrious Governor has issued a program to state police to "take back Indiana highways". They now have the "quota system" in force(now admitted) and weekends and end of month times should be busy.
A friend just told me, the 5mph over is if'y at best... Stay safe ;) ...Patch

At-ease Jack, I thought it only fair to inform those who may be rushing to the meeting, to be fore warned.
Good grief, you'd think I was trying to put a black mark on our impeccable man mitch, when he's quite capable all himself... ;)
Hope we get the Feb. month and no more public areas are closed to hunting, it's all I want for Christmas...

Fact is no public areas have been closed, and indiana just completed one of the largest land purchases for Indiana sportsmen ever. GOOSE POND. 8500 acres south of Linton, In. Get the 2006/2007 hunting and trapping guide and read all about it ........ Also look for another large purchase in the fairly near future. There are several very good sporting dog opportunities being expanded also. Granted some of the old gaurd hardliners are still present in IDNR, and that being said, the attitude and atmsophere inside Indiana DNR is tremendously more sportsmen oriented than it has been for years.

The essence of this post Patch is to spread the word about the ALL SPORTING DOG MEETING to be held August 27th at 3:00 PM. The location is Indianapolis, Indiana in the Gander Mountain Lodge. should it be by some remote possibility that your just venting about our state Governor, Mitch Daniels, then by all means make a new post and lets rattle some swords, but please allow this post to do what its intended purpose is......helping unite the sporting dog groups to better serve all sportsmen and sportswomen. I am sure you and i can agree its more important.

I hope a lot of "Hoosiers" will be there.
* I enjoy meeting new Beaglers & Squirrel Dog Owners. It's a blessing to find other's with such unique interests.
* I also enjoy helping future hunters.

All Sporting Dog Meeting

Post by jackrabbit »

One important aspect of the sporting dog meeting coming up August 27TH, 2006 at Gander Mountains Indianapolis store, starting at 3:00 pm is that every and all venues of sporting dogs and dog owners should have a representative of their club, organization, or themselves present. The only agenda is the advancement of sporting dog and dog owner opportunities. This year Kyle Hupfer, our IDNR Director, is planning on attending. This is a great opportunity to show him our strengths and to find out whats shaking inside our Indiana Department of Natural Resources.

Also, the Alliance needs your help in spreading the word to the officials of all the differeant sporting dog groups and dog owner groups. I am undergoing surgery again for the second time this year (Carpul Tunnel on both hands) and though not as dangerous and scary as the heart surgery back in Feb, its still making getting the word out difficult.

thanks
