Chicago Mandatory Sterilization Ordinance

This is a good place to inform fellow hunters about bills and other legislation that may jeopardize our rights to hunt and free cast our hounds.

Chicago Mandatory Sterilization Ordinance

Post by Keystone Kid »

Recently representatives of PetPAC met in Chicago with opponents of the Mandatory Sterilization Ordinance authored by Alderman Edward Burke.

PetPAC is an organization of over 45,000 members throughout the United States who fight for the rights of pets and their owners. We are leaders in the fight against mandatory sterilization. We led the fight in California to defeat AB 1634 and are helping organizations across the country fight the attempts of PETA and the Humane Society to take our pets away from us.

We want to help fight the mandatory sterilization ordinance in Chicago but we need your financial help so we will have the resources to fund our campaign. Please contribute today.

PetPAC joins the Illinois Veterinary Association (IVA) in opposing this bill because data shows mandatory sterilization results in more dogs and cats being relinquished to shelters and more pets being killed as a result. IVA also points out the rise in rabies which will result as a result of this irresponsible and publicity driven ordinance.

In addition to significant costs to taxpayers for this failed policy, mandatory sterilization hurts law enforcement, the blind, and disabled by reducing the potential pool of qualified service dogs.

If you are interested in seeing PetPAC join in the fight to help stop mandatory sterilization in Chicago. Please donate to our campaign today. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Bill Hemby
PetPAC Chairman
* I enjoy meeting new Beaglers & Squirrel Dog Owners. It's a blessing to find other's with such unique interests.
* I also enjoy helping future hunters.
