Updated SAOVA 2008 Election site

This is a good place to inform fellow hunters about bills and other legislation that may jeopardize our rights to hunt and free cast our hounds.

Updated SAOVA 2008 Election site

Post by hammerenpatch »

A SAOVA message to sportsmen, pet owners and farmers concerned about protecting their traditions, avocations and livelihoods from anti-hunting, anti-breeding, animal guardianship advocates. Forwarding and cross posting, with attribution, encouraged.
Dear SAOVA Friends,

The Sportsmen's and Animal Owners' Voting Alliance (SAOVA) today unveiled its updated 2008 Election website at http://saova.org. The site contains additional research and lobbying resources, new SAOVA volunteer identities and our endorsements of 166 candidates running for political office November 4, 2008. SAOVA ENDORSED candidates understand the animal rightist, anti-hunting threat and have voting records or exceptionally strong values that demonstrate their commitment to protecting our interests.

Important new candidate endorsements include
Jay Love (R-AL2)
Jim Risch (R-ID Senate)
Aaron Schock (R-IL18)
Bill Cassidy (R-LA6)
Charlie Summers (R-ME1)
Joel Gill (D-MS3)
Chris Myers (R-NJ3)
Blaine Luetkemeyer (R-MO9)
Jim Gilmore (R-VA Senate)

Key incumbents endorsed include:
John Dingell (D-MI15)
Collin Peterson (D-MN7)
Tim Holden (D-PA15)
Max Baucus (D-MT Senate)
Don Young (R-AK)
Joseph Knollenberg (R-MI9)
Roger Wicker (R-MS Senate)
Sam Graves (R-MO6)

Also displayed there are names of 240 federal politicians and over 400 state politicians that are Animal Rightist Endorsed or supportive of AR drafted legislation. There are 14 head-to-head election races between Animal Rightist and SAOVA endorsees. Please take the time to visit and study our analyses. We make no pretense of evaluating candidates' positions on national security, taxes, education, medical care or social issues. To the degree that hunting and animal ownership are important to you, we offer this review to be combined with other, personal considerations to determine your vote on November 4, 2008. PAWS 2008 was introduced September 18; details will soon be available on the SAOVA website.

Be Sure to Register and Vote!
The world is governed by those who show up.

Please distribute this message widely.
Sincerely,
Susan Wolf

SAOVA is a nonpartisan volunteer group working to protect Americans from the legislative and political threats of radical animal rightists. It is the only national organization fighting this struggle for both sportsmen and animal owners, natural allies, in these arenas.
