In case you haven't received this yet!

This is a good place to inform fellow hunters about bills and other legislation that may jeopardize our rights to hunt and free cast our hounds.

This is all over the gun forums. Contact your state reps ASAP. This is the first step to gun confiscation.

It's time to just "say no."

I just read and printed out the proposed bill so I can show it to all the gun owning friends of mine at work. Pike , you are right. This is how it starts. It's time to dig your heels in and stand your ground. I will make sure to call my state rep, and ask everyone else to do the same. The word REVOLUTION comes to my mind

Way ahead of you there. I got mine on speed dial!!! Used to be I'd have to sit and wait on hold... but I think they've figured out I'm paying one price for long distance whether I use it or not (and that I do use it). :D

It's time to show Congress we are still paying attention. Take 10 minutes and write your Representatives...

I know you're trying to make everyone aware but there is another forum for this stuff.

And as long as I'm here I'm hoping it gets knocked down like the last time. They always try to sneak in the back door to get something done and they are persistent, I'll give 'em that.

Yup there is another forum for this... and hardly anybody reads it. Just look at the number of times this has been viewed as compared to one of the "hot" topics. For that matter go to that other forum and see the number of views for yourself. I totalled up the top SIX topics (not including this one) and still haven't came up with a count that equals the latest "hot" topic.
But you are right about them trying to sneak this one past the plate. With all the focus on the Stimulus and Recovery Bill they were hoping nobody was paying attention. And that is why, we, as responsible gun owners need to devote just a small amount of our time. And, most likely, why the original poster chose to air this here rather than a forum hardly anybody views.
Not trying to "P" in your wheaties... I'm just sometimes appalled by the overwhelming apathy real issues like this receive. Sure we are all aware that measuring is sometimes off. Sure some of those "hot" topics are more entertaining. But is a loose measurement going to get our guns taken away? Is that "hot" topic trying to strip us of our Right to own, breed, and run the hounds we love?

No. And I don't think it is asking too much for people to spend 10 minutes of their time writing their Representatives. Just as it isn't asking too much for people to spend 1/2 a second skipping over this topic while on their way to one of the "hot" topics. Now maybe what I just posted is going to get some people mad. But at least mad people will react. So (to anyone reading this) by all means get mad if ya want... then write your Representatives. :)

Thanks for the info.

IMO this type of info is needed on every hunter/gun forum and needs to be read by all.

We also need everyone to get involved as stated above tell their friends and write the reps.

GET INVOLVED....MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
Politicians & Diapers both need to be changed on cue, and for the same reasons!!!!!!!!!!!!!
