Indiana Dog Owners Beware...

This is a good place to inform fellow hunters about bills and other legislation that may jeopardize our rights to hunt and free cast our hounds.

Indiana Dog Owners Beware...

Post by Keystone Kid »

This is an urgent request for all sportsmen and women to write, call, and/or email the Governor and ask him to direct IDNR, specifically Fish and Wildlife to drop efforts to close our Training and Field Trialiing areas. A rule change has been presented to the Natural Resource Commission to close all Coyote and Fox training and Field Trialing areas, They are using Fair Chase as a reason and have purposely not consulted with the sporting dog venues in the state in making this decsion. The Governors office says they are not hearing from us....

PLEASE, THIS IS URGENT AND IS CRITICAL TO OUR DOG TRAINING AND FIELD TRIALING AREAS.

ASK MITCH PHONE NUMBER

317-232-4567

GOVERNORS MAILING ADDRESS

OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR

STATEHOUSE

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA 46204-2797

YOU CAN EMAIL THE GOVERNOR BY GOING TO THE IN.GOV WEBSITE AND CLICKING ON THE ASK MITCH LINK.

Again, it is critical that alll sportsmen and everyone in your address book be made aware of the need to contact the governors office.

Thank you

It has been suggested by one of our strong legislators that its of utmost importance that we also unindate the Natural Resource Commission with our objections to closing dog training and field trialing areas for Coyote and Fox hounds. We must make an ongoing effort to get as many of our sporting friends, dog owners, and any friend or family member to contact both the governor and the NRC as possible. The contact info for the NRC is;

Natural Resource Commission phone number

317-232-4699 fax 317-233-2977

Email at http://www.in.gov/nrc/2351.htm

The effort to contact both the governor and the NRC needs to be ongoing for the next few weeks. both emails and phone calls are much needed.

thanks

PS-Here is what your email needs to state:

Please, do not attempt to consider closing any dog training areas in Indiana "without" first consulting with the sporting dog venues (Indiana Beaglers Alliance & Hoosier Tree Dog Alliance) in the Indiana.

Thank You!

LITTLE REMINDER....

HSUS is working in our sporting world here in Indiana. IDNR is playing their court by propagating a rule change package that will CLOSE ALL COYOTE AND FOX TRAINING AND FIELD TRIALING ENCLOSURES in the state. The Governor is listening to us and has the Director of Natural Resources secretary accepting our calls. The Calls are being tabulated and both the Governor and the Director of Natural Resources is reviewing them.

PLEASE MAKE THE CALL...we know its easy to forget.

The Fox and Coyote dog training and field trialing enclosure issue has been pulled from the May 18,2010 NRC hearing agenda. Sportsmen need not attend the meeting, and calls, letters, and emails can be discontinued until further notice.

Thanks folks for all your hard work
