Indiana hunters must see!!!!

This is a good place to inform fellow hunters about bills and other legislation that may jeopardize our rights to hunt and free cast our hounds.

Indiana hunters must see!!!!

Post by DBFUZZ »

As many of you may or may not the NRC preliminarily approved a rule package that kills all new fox and Coyote enclosures in the state if its enacted. this is what happened at the NRC hearing last Tuesday November 16, 2010.

Most of us went to the NRC hearing at the Garrison at Ft. Harrison thinking the NRC hearing was going to normal fare. The Coyote enclosure issue was up again, DNR's Division of Fish and Wildlife had finally gone out to the one enclosure we have in Indiana and after inspecting it and watching a field trial they came back with very positive impressions and offered the NRC a rule package that allowed enclosures of 300 acres or more. The Alliance was there to explain to the NRC that there was no reason to have a size limit and the rules DNR was suggesting were enough. When we walked into the Garrison the whole scene changed. The day before HSUS had convinced the TV stations that the enclosures were live bait killing fields and without checking out the information they were given, some of the stations ran with it. Also HSUS somehow convinced management at the Garrison to allow HSUS and the Coyote Rescue group to put up a table with their twisted videos right at the entrance to the NRC hearing room. Because of the TV coverage there were about 20 or so "Concerned citizens" that saw the TV coverage and assumed the reports were actual and were there to oppose the enclosures. As the Coyote rule package was being preliminarily adopted one of the NRC members,( We assume either is ignorant of whats going on, or is in the pocket of HSUS suggested a moratorium on any new enclosures be added to the rule package and like sheep to the slaughter the rest of the NRC members went along with it. Now not only does the proposed rule change make 300 acres the minimum, it also stipulates the DNR can not issue any more enclosure permits after Jan 1,2012. HERE'S WHAT THE SPORTSMEN MUST DO.

!) WRITE TO THE NRC. OR SEND THEM AN EMAIL
The letter or email must be done according to NRC rules. The on line email can be found by going to the NRC web page. NRC home. down the left corner you will see several areas to click on go to RULES and click on it. just below it current rule proposals will pop up. Click in that. it will take you to a page that about half way down is a large box that has a small recap of all the rule change proposals. to the right of the Coyote rule change proposal but still in the box is a place to make comments click on that and fill every area. in the box to make your comment be to the point and be courteous.

Letters can be mailed to;

Indiana Natural Resource Commission
302 West Washington St.
Indianapolis, In. 4624-4701

A) tell the NRC that you oppose a moratorium on new enclosures and in fact feel there should be no restrictions as to size or number.
B) explain to the NRC that those wanting the enclosures banned that testified at the Nov.16 NRC hearing are from other states, and not Indiana.
C) that Indiana does not have what the HSUS and the Indiana Coyote Rescue ladies say we do
D) Tell the NRC that there is no evidence that rules are even needed in Indiana because our sportsmen do not want to abuse any animals.

please do not copy and past the things I've said. DO send the letter and/or the email but put it in your own words.

Call the Governors office at 317-232- 4567. Ask for Betsy or David pippin. tell the remind the governors office that you were promised that no enclosures were going to be banned and you want to know what they are going to do to fulfill their promise.

Call your legislator and explain what happened at the NRC hearing and let them know you want the enclosures left alone. This is an important step. you can get your legislators phone number and/or email Addy from the state legislative website.

Call every sporting group, club, or organization you can, send them this email ask them to help and to send the email on.

This is extremely important the future of all our hunting sports ultimately rests on this issue.

ALSO...let everyone know that the Indiana Wildlife Federation's new president stood with HSUS and the Wildlife Federation opposed our Coyote Dog Training enclosures

We INDIANA hunters appear to be VICTIMS of the HSUS. What do we have a DNR for if they have no power over the "antis"? The ONLY voice INDIANA SPORTSMEN have is the INDIANA BEAGLERS ALLIANCE. DO SOME HOME WORK AND SEE WHAT THE "ALLIANCE" HAS DONE FOR US. The deer farmers know how important the "ALLIANCE" has been. The commerical dog breeders know how important the "ALLIANCE" has been; longer rabbit season, longer squirrel season, the right to carry a gun while in the woods; THANK THE ALLIANCE. THIS COYOTE ENCLOSER ISSUE HAS BEEN RESOLVED ONCE BEFORE. NOW IT HAS TO BE HANDLED AGAIN. The Sportsmans Round Table is NOT a friend of the hunters, they are only a friend to HSUS. If your club or organization is with the "round heads", you need to ask some questions. EVERY sportsman club, coon hunters club, beagle club, bird dog club should join the "ALLIANCE' AND JOIN THE FIGHT TO KEEP OUR HUNTERS "RIGHTS". Also EVERY man, woman, and youth hunter should join the "ALLIANCE". It is our fight for our freedom to enjoy our sport. I have begged and pleaded before and will continue to support the INDIANA BEAGLERS ALLIANCE. Think about it and don't just sit on your hands and let someone else "do it". When it's too late we'll all be "crying in our beverage". Well I've vented and don't feel much better YET, but if we are going to let the "antis" run our state at least we could send our DNR to the unemployment line. NOT NOT NOT "nu dawg "

Thanks for the coverage guys. This is important information for all states not just Indiana, though its Indiana being attacked right now.

HSUS has taken on new ways of attacking the sportsman. They are finding they are not as successful as they thought they would be with the state legislators and getting laws passed to kill us. They now use the administrative rules to do their dasdardly work. they find small groups like the "Indiana Coyote Rescue" ladies and give them enough funds to to build a website and look official, then they mentor them on how to exercise their right to petition for adminstrative rule changes. In Indiana any one can petition for a rule change and the Natural Resource Commission is compelled to consider it. Then just before the hearing HSUS goes to the media ( TV, Radio, and the Newspapers ) and spreads their twisted lies. Nothing is checked out, Its exciting and gets viewers attention and the media runs with it. Naturally some people see the crap and think its true. They then go to the hearings and protest the cruel treatment of the animals. In this situation Indiana has to many people on the Natural Resource Commission (NRC ) that do not understand the sportsmans side of the issues. One of the NRC members ask for an amendment to be put in the rule package that, if the package goes all the way thru the process, puts a moratorium on all new Coyote enclosures after Jan1,2012. the amendment was approved by the NRC. The scary part is that Indiana DNR director Rob Carter, deputy director John Davis, and NRC chairman Bryan Poynter voted in favor also. IT IS SO IMPORTANT THAT EVERY ONE ON THIS BOARD, YOUR FRIENDS, AND EVERYONE ON YOUR EMAIL LIST CONTACT THE FOLKS IN THE PREVIOUS POST AND FOLLOW THE POSTS INSTRUCTIONS. It does not matter where you are from. HSUS will have people all over the country writing and calling to get our opportunities banned.

It is very important to note also that the Indiana Wildlife Federation stood up with the HSUS people and supported them in wanting the Coyote enclosures banned. If you know any group or individual that is part of the Indiana Wildlife Federation it would be good if they expresed their disatisfaction with them.

Indiana Wildlife Federation consistent stand has been that they do not support any kind of Dog Training or Trialing behind enclosures. It's time to get to work! The HSUS, Peta will destroy our Hunting heritage and will not stop until they even have our Food. Pick out your favorite Weed because that's what you will be Grilling on Sunday if We let them. The Fired UP Frenchman!
