You must be a good educator, the Lesterville board was really happy to have ya! As far as a pastoral license goes, that's the biggest head-scratcher yet...

What school district do you work for?
Noting the time of some of your posts, I'm curious why you are posting on forums instead of doing your job "teaching" on the tax payers dime!
Matter of fact I am in Chemistry right now. My kids are using VSPER models to predict the polarity of molecules and compounds... We are using this information to create a periodic table of electronegativity to bring to the national science convention. Pretty neat stuff. My principal came in and took pictures yesterday and Monday we are presenting our initial findings to To UCM (University of Central Missouri).

Thanks for asking :D

But I also find time to post on my lunch break, prep hour, in between classes, tests, labs, etc...

My point exactly, you are being paid to teach chemistry by the taxpayers, not posting on a beagle board about politics.
The computer you are posting with is paid for by taxpayers for "teaching", not for personal use.

So, again, what school district?

You must not know very much about teaching.... I taught a full course load today and my job security is based, in part, on how my students perform on state tests. So if I were slacking, the school would already know about it.

Also, we sign technology agreements that we can use their computers for personal use as long as it does not violate terms of service. Like looking at pornography or buying crap on ebay instead of teaching. I had my principal and IT guy unblock this site from the filter... They know full well what sites I am on, when I am on them, what I type and how often I do it. Its even on my performance evaluation I get every 90 days...

Its one of the perks you get for having an advanced degree with extremely low pay and working more than your required hours per week. Last week my salary pay was for 41hrs and I put in 53. Didn't get paid the extra 12hrs so for the 5 minutes or less it takes me to type these, I am well within my job description.

Apparently, you don't know much about the school.... While there I had the highest test scores out of any teacher in the building. I had 71 out of 80 tests be above the national average. Again, this is public fact. I still talk to half the school board in Lesterville. The decision had 0 to do with teaching.. Hell, I went camping with three of them over the summer and will probably do so again this summer...

If you wanna know the actual no BS reason why I am not their this year, send me a pm. I will give you my response and you can ask the board if it lines up with what they say. Nothing to hide. I have letters of recommendation from the superintendent, school board president, the HS principal, and three teachers I used to get this job. They were all glowing and spot on. Just happened to be one of those deals where no one felt like they won. Not me, not them, certainly not the parents or students. I have NOTHING BUT RESPECT for that school, the administration and the students and had arguably the best two years of my life there...Not a dry eye in the room when I hugged everyone at church and told em goodbye and you know at least three board members who went to my church.

Employers started offering it to employees as an incentive to get people to work for them as opposed to their competition. They found they could get better group rates, and then split the cost with the employee. It's been said that if your employer offers health insurance, consider that to be worth $3-4/hr on top of your hourly rate. If you make $15/hr and have insurance, you actually make $19/hr. The policy of forcing companies to carry insurance smacks of facism in my book. It's a great incentive, but it should be voluntary. Otherwise, they can tell you "no insurance, but we will pay you extra so you can buy your own."

That in reality is what will happen with Obamacare. Companies will revolt in any way they can, i.e. cut everyone's hours to part-time, or stop hiring at employee #49, and you will buy your own insurance through an exchange.

Also, mo beagler, I'm glad you aren't teaching English Composition. I wasn't going to say anything, but having looked at ten pages of misspellings and grammatical errors that shouldn't occur beyond third grade, coupled with your general smugness of superiority, I feel compelled to mention it. It's "if I were Muslim," not "if I was Muslim." I can go back and red-pencil the rest of your posts if you'd like.

Amazing how low the bar of education has dropped.
It must really chap your hide that I am in education huh? That I hold 5 different teaching certificates and have a bachelor's degree, pastoral license and a double Master's... Wanna know something even more scary? I am also apart of the consortium on the Common Core State Standards initiative that is currently deciding WHAT your kids in over 30 states get taught for the next decade at least. :blackeye:

Here is something to appease you about my grammar. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7E-aoXLZGY If all you have to attack me on is grammar then I suppose I am doing ok... or Okay if you will.

Ya Bev, I am sure companies are WILLINGLY going to give out money so employees can buy health insurance. I forgot, they are such nice guys.. Always known for looking after the little guy.
Actually it doesn't chap my hide one bit. You're not much older than my grandchild so there's not a prayer you'll get anywhere near my family - to teach, coach, or anything else. I can't say the same for the families of Missouri.

From your comments regarding employer/insurance/salary comparisons I can see that your reading comprehension is no better than your written skills. Again, low bar these days if you are so heavily celebrated and honored with certificates. It explains a lot about the level of illiteracy these days.

Your most impressive feat however, is how you have taken unfettered arrogance to new heights. If there's a certificate to be given for that, you're a shoo-in.

And now we are just in a bashing contest and the original purpose of the thread before it was hijacked was to rally gun supporters for last weekend's event. So I'm locking it.
