Jimmie,
Its about 7 hours from Lexington. We have always had PLENTY of game. Last year the State Park burned off everything at one of our spots so we were short that spot but we were able to find plenty of rabbits at other spots.
There is usually a few folks from KY come up. You might be able to hook up with someone else coming up. Hope to see you there!

Ive had a few calls asking about how much snow we have. Currently we dont have much snow. We had a big snow miss us Sunday and mainly just got rain. The ground is bare in some places but there is still snow where it drifted and where it is protected from the sun. Calling for a couple nights of cold weather the next few days but the long range forecast after tomorrow night is calling for 30's and 40's. I will update early next week.

Joey,
There is no min. age limit. Its a liscensed trial and not a Derby trial. Im guessing it would be about 2.5 hrs form St. Louis.

Joey, Its about 30 mins west of Springfield. However long it takes you to get there just add 30 min. I really suggest you go to this one. There will be alot of top notch dogs there. These trials are ran on a whole different level than any of the other formats. A good time is promised. Also, you can run dogs and hunt on this State Park in Rabbit season. Its beautiful country and there is plenty of game.

I really don't have any dogs worth entering but I would like to go and watch.

Does anyone need a dog handler? I can help you out. FREE of charge. I just want to see a AKC trial never been to one. I have one AKC female but I think she is way to young yet to enter her.

Anyway let me know if I can help someone out will be there by myself and I need some people to hang out with while i'm up there. I can take on a dog if you need someone to help out.

Come on up Joey. We always have a good time! There is always someone needing help handling a dog. Your biggest desision will be which class you want to go with. If you want to get right in on the action I will even let you marshall if you want. LOL!

Jimmy,
Looks to be plenty of rabbits! We even found a new spot we call the meat grinder! We may use it for one of the winners packs! LOTS OF COVER! LOL!

Weather forecast is 45-50's for highs and lows 35-40 with a 30% chance of rain. The ground is bare in most places but there is still snow where it drifted and where it is protected from the sun.
