We are having our Hound of the year run off on the 6th. Deadline is 7:00. Along with the people who are hunting in the run off we invite anyone else that would like to come spend a day running dogs. We are having free food and drinks in the afternoon and will be having a meeting as well to go over the plans for 2011. From the sounds of things there are going to be enough extra people and dogs there to have a fun hunt as well. Who know maybe we can make this fun hunt for a little cash?? As most of you know we hold both ARHA and UKC hunts so for people that wanted to try out another format here is your chance to come watch and run in one for fun. This is all for fun and is just a way for the club to say thanks to everyone that has came and supported the club and to honor the dogs and owners who did the best this year.

I will say this there is going to be a class for Big Rufus so he can say he tried a UKC hunt. The winner of his cast will get a free Big Rufus special hat!

All we ask is let us know if you are coming so we can have enough food and people lined up to guide cast. Should be a fun day for everyone so hope to see you there.

nate i would like to bring a dog down for the fun hunt if you have enough dogs. i don't know if i will beable to stay all day though.

Just come over to the club house and be there by 7:00 and we will get you in a cast for the fun hunt. If you are lucky you will be in my cast which is called "The Big Rufus Beat Down". I am starting to think Big Rufus will be a no show. I heard he is scared and has a bunch of reason why he cannot make it now but if he is a NO SHOW I will blow this internet up about him!!!!lol

Rufus you have 4 more days to get ready before I lay the smack down on you!!! lol

Thanks to everyone who showed up for the run off and the fun hunt. It was a blast we turned all 7 dogs loose at once and had 6 judges chasing them around scoring. It was great and 15 points seperated 1st and 2nd place. Thanks to Mike "little Rufus" Patton for helping judge the run off.

The fun hunt had 16 dogs entered and went well too. As I promised I put a BEAT down on Big Rufus. Once I seen what Rufus showed up with for dog power I decided to get my 5 month old pup out to beat him! It was a fun cast and close until I had to scratch Rufus. I ended up winning the cast with 675 plus. Not bad for an hour hunt with a 5 month old pup.

Thanks again to everyone who supported the club this year. We should have our dates set for 2011 soon.

Last a call out to good old no show Mapes. Next time I see you it going to be then then and when you stop acting like a let me know when you can actually show up and run dogs!!!!!
