Bluff City Beagle club will be holding the IL State Championship on Sat. May the 14, 2011. Entries close at 8:00am cst. Entry fee is $25. The winner of the state championships this yr will be qualified fot the pkc nationals next spring. If you haven`t tried the PKC yet this would be a good one to attend. The $200 added purse will be split between all the cast winners. Give me a call with any questions regarding the format or directions to the club. Thank You, Kevin Hall

All the support is appreciated. I feel that it will only take trying a PKC hunt once and you`ll be hooked, especially if you like a fast, honest hound. There are a couple others that have called me that are planning on making this hunt whom have not ran PKC before. The biggest difference that I can see in it vs. the other formats is when all the handlers standing together see the same part of the race that is being scored it makes a clear cut winner of each cast stand out. All the cast I have run the handlers all agreed that the winner in the end was indeed the best dog. How often does that happen in any of the other formats. I`m not saying it never does, but from my experience I`m thinking less than 25% of the time.
The high temp tomorrow is 66 degrees and they`re not calling for much rain so come give the pkc a shot if your remotely close to the area. We`re located about 70 miles East of St.Louis right off I-70. 8:00 am deadline, brats and burgers grilled for lunch. Hope to see yah all there.
