Just wanting to start alittle up on this one!

I think it started with Wodrow Wilson and his "Progressive" movement. It became so unpopular that it went underground and they took the name "Liberal". Then they subverted the democrat party. Obama and Hillary have been the first powerful politicians that I can remember, who publicly claimed tp be Progressives. McCain stated that he is a big fan of Teddy Roosevelt who also climed to be a Progressive. ??? (I never trusted McCain either) I think his Progressive tendancies is why the NY Times and other liberal rags chose McCain as their favorite republican candidate prior to the primaries.
If you read Wikepedia, Wilson just like Obama, was labed an "Intelectual". I suppose Wilson had the same problem of doing what he said and telling the truth occasionally.
I think Wilson was the only President to put citizens in prison who spoke out against his policies.

Newt, that is very interesting that you would say that Amercia broke during the time period of a World War and just before a depression?
I was not thinking of that far back but it does fit with current policies and administrations.

Most people don't realize how corrupt and devious the progressives have been. Bet you didn't know that the armed services were integrated prior to the Progressive President, Woodrow Wilson. The Progressives were a big proponent of "Eugenics".

America broke with the election of JFK. Eisenhower was the last of the greatest generation who survived the great depression and world war II and went on to build the greatest industrial nation on earth. JFK and LBJ ushered in the great society of government teat suckers. Except for a glimer of hope during the Reagan years, all the presidents (includeing Bush I & II) have contributed to the slide we are in now. Obama is reallly greasing that slide and will go down history as our worst president ever, bumping Jimmy Carter out of the top spot!

JFK Brought in the OLD money, FAMILY politicians, the CARRIER Politicians which became the start of the Demise.
I Also FEEL that the MEDIA has Not helped any either. With all the BIG money out there it is all about who can BUY their way in.
