Mostly its the religious republicans who end up pulling out guns and shooting people just because. look at the whack job shooters in this country and you will see most of them are religious and privileged.
I am also glad your children are not in my class. Because if they learned half of what you teach them they would be the sputtering idiots in class who refuse to believe a crayon is brown because their dad told em it was yellow. My school has a firewall and everything I type is recorded. I am allowed to do what I want on my lunch break, in between classes and on my prep hours. look through my posts, my name and school has been posted several times. My principal is in my class on a regular basis and so is my super. Matter of fact the school board is Wednesday, why don't you put yourself on the agenda and complain about me teaching evolution or using the computers.
I'm an engineer 60+ hours per week (no simpleton, not on a train) and still farm as well.
Oh yea, that is 12 months a year too, not 9 like you.

No patents, a few published articles in small journals. Nothing big because I hate writing but it is required from the University. Ya, I work nine months a year to make sure people like you can be engineers. BTW I have never once met an engineer who worked 12 months a year without major vacation time..
This summer I had the opportunity to coach two baseball teams, run two basketball camps with my fiance and took a course about effective teaching strategies n the classroom. All while have a double masters degree and taking home around 20k less than my peer group on average because its what I love to do. I don't even mind the low pay and having to deal with parents like you because when I am done with a years teaching, I know the world has a class full of students who would look at the bullcrap people like Maple valley Kennels is spewing and laugh in his face.
On a side note; a public schoolhouse is no place for a person to espouse their beliefs. My job is to teach them science. They couldn't even tell you what I believe or don't believe because it is none of their business and something they probably don't even care about. I don't indoctrinate, I let them evaluate evidence.

Sorry, try 3 weeks, In fact I haven't taken a vacation since the first week of December of 2012.

Maybe your peer group makes 20K more because they are driven to excel and put in the extra effort to earn that 20K more rather than singing, dancing, watching movies and making tin foil boats with pennies in them.
That's right, you are one of those liberals that want us hard working people to give up more of our hard earned money and given to your lazy behind.
I work with a guy that has a Mechanical Engineering degree, but doesn't have an once of mechanical ability.
However, he is extremely good at timelines, meeting minutes, etc.
My point is you can list all the degrees you want, it doesn't mean a thing without the ability to actually do the work.
Do you really expect us to believe you actually have integrity and you don't spew this crap to your students after what you've posted?
You may get away with being on your soapbox with your students, but it isn't going to work here.
