Re: Sarah Palin???
Pike Ridge this is the first time i have disagreed with you. If you got to watch his speech, he planly stated he would not take the guns from just anyone, but would take them from those people who have mental issues, and Just put more controll on who gets them. I am fully behind Barack. I will be helping in the electin as soon as i get all my info. McCain Picked a woman thinking he would get Hillarys votes, but What he dont realize is that Most people have never heard of this woman he picked.

It's OK to diagree and it is encouraged when it comes to politics. That is what the democratic process is all about. Although, I don't trust Obama as far I can throw him and think he is a disgrace, I encourage you to stay politically active and support the candidate that you feel will make the best president.
Good luck.

Re: Sarah Palin???
Looks like you are in the same boat. This thread and the opinions being shared have shed light on certain topics. I will be anticipating the upcoming debates and can't wait to see the dirt still to come on all 4 of these candidates. When it comes down to it i will vote for what i personally feel i want to protect the most. Right now they have to earn my vote!jd casey wrote:I voted for bush twice now I see he had no experience.I THOUGHT HE WOULD STOP ABORTION BUT HE DIDN'T. Re: Sarah Palin???
This is the problem many people have, It’s not just McCain –vs- Obama. It is McCain / Palin –vs- Obama / Biden. You have to take them all into consideration when voting. McCain is 72 with bad health. He may die, what then? In the last 8 years we have lost the respect, fear and honor from the rest of the free world because of our horrible pick of George Bush and his actions. Do you think this move will help matters? And this is not about being or going Republican or Democrat. The Democratic Party had their “horrible” pick too, his name was Jimmy Carter. He was the most likable and moral president elected but he was horrible as a president. This is about doing what is the best for our Country now, with what choices we have now. I respect that you disagree, but I feel out of these particular candidates the best two are Obama / Biden. I really wish we had more to pick from, but we don’t.Pike Ridge Beagles wrote:Remember this is McCain verses Obama NOT Palin verses Obama.

Does it bother you that he is friends with people who bomb, and hate the USA. I am trying to understand how someone could vote for this.
I wish we had a better choice.

Re: Sarah Palin???
I am sorry Dr. Chris that arguement is just weak. I might get hit by a car tomorrow too but I can't live my life in fear. The president has advisors in place but legislative branches of government to keep checks and balances.Dr. Chris wrote:This is the problem many people have, It’s not just McCain –vs- Obama. The liberals brought up Reagan's age too but he outlived many of them.
And, Palin scares me MUCH LESS than Obama being elected prez. Now that there is down right scary. If this country actually does vote Obama in then it will be the end of this once great nation.
Bush did the job that his Daddy and Clinton didn't. He has my respect. Has he handled everything perfrectly, no but who is perfect? Bush will go down in the history books as a great president. Mark my word on that. His handling of Iraq was outstanding during the war phase. I do agree it is time to bring the troops home and hopefully that will happen soon.
Re: Sarah Palin???
The good thing is..... she does NOT belong to the good ole boys club, doesn't owe anyone any favors such as you voted for me on this and now I am gonna give you a bridge to no where, is NOT a Washington insider, is smart enough to surround herself with knowledgeable people on issues she needs understanding of, has not aligned herself with anti americans, terrorists, crooks, does not think that you have to have certain male anatomy to have a brain,(you know, the part that got Bill in troubleBluegrass Do you know why the liberals are so out of sorts with this pick of a running mate by McCain?? Its because she doesnt have a 30 year track record they can exploit like the Republicans can with Biden...they dont have her on tape badmouthing McCain like the Republicans do with Biden...she is pretty, conservative, articulate, tough and DOES have executive experience, something that ALL the other candidates lack...she is not a product of liberal entitlements and programs, she doesnt have a problem with hunting, owning guns, eats wild animals, is not a card carrying member of PETA and doesnt need Hollywood syncophants to make her feel good about herself.
She is self sufficient, married, against abortion, pro second ammendment, against homosexual marriage, did I mention pretty???
This and so much more makes her the IDEAL running mate...I actually like the fact that the liberals DONT like her...makes me like her even more.

Good post Sally = I was going to say a lot of the same things. She does stand up and owes nobody.
No one who is sticking up for Obama has made one comment about:
Friends with someone who bombed the USA and is proud of it
Obama and Wifes using Dr Cone's teaching as guide for their life.
Because there is nothing they can say, it is true and recorded in history. If anyone is thinking or knows for sure they are voting for Obama they should read one of Dr. Cone's book. Know what you are getting.

Re: Sarah Palin???
I am not not talking about the current drive by media's view on him but we have never won a war with so few American lives lost. It was perfectly executed and he WILL go down in history as a great president no matter what the coolaid drinkers today think. Mark my word on that!jd casey wrote:I voted for bush twice but lets get reel . He wont go down in history as the best president if you believe that your in a state of denial. But, this thread is about Palin and lets not turn it into a Bush bashing thread. I can watch the media do that so need to do it here.

I think it was a good choice and anybody that thinks "shes in the pocket of big oil" needs to do a little more research before they start posting on message boards.
Even if it was Palin vs nObama, Id still rather have her as President than him.
Principles that Obama supports on gun issues:
Ban the sale or transfer of all forms of semi-automatic weapons.
Increase state restrictions on the purchase and possession of firearms.
Require manufacturers to provide child-safety locks with firearms.
Source: 1998 IL State Legislative National Political Awareness Test Jul 2, 1998
Read the part again that says "ban the sale or transfer of ALL forms of semi automatic weapons."
You dont hunt anything with a semi automatic rifle or shotgun do you?
If so you might want to start pricing a pump or single shot.
