Free healthcare for all

Post by Newt »

Remember a few years ago when MSM was touting the Utopia in South America, Venezuela. It was the poster child, free healthcare, all were equal. Sean Penn and other celebrities visited and came back praising this "beacon" of what could be accomplished with the right government.
2016: Hospitals in Venezuela

It's a feature story and it's scary as hell. Just a few tidbits:

We all know that it's important for hospital staff to wash their hands a lot. Not in Venez. Ain't got no water and ain't got no soap.

The electricity goes out constantly causing people on respirators to die. Infant mortality rate is up times 10 over the last 3 years. Pregnant mother death rate is up times 5 in that period.

One doctor: "This is 19th century health care."
Another: "Some people come here healthy and leave dead"

No food, no antibiotics, no IV fluids, hell they keep medical records on the backs of receipts because they ran out of paper. It looks really bad. Bad enough to overthrow the govt? We'll see.

Bern says free healthcare for all.

Yeah, its not the system its the people running it.
They just need more government control.
That is the message, correct?
The rich probably left the country and took their possessions with them. The mean rascals.

Maybe a compassionate progressive like Obama or Hillary could do it right, using money out of the Clinton Foundation.
