Obama's Response to the DC Gun Ban Decision
Thursday, 26 June 2008
Below the Read More you will find Obama's response.

As you read it remember:

Obama votes against gun owners on almost every occassion that he can.
Obama was on the Board of Directors of the Joyce Foundation who fund numerous gun control organizations that acknowledge wishing to end firearm ownership in the U.S. While we are here, I would love to know why Barack would associate himself with an organization that pushed what he should have recognized as an unconstitutional agenda.
Pay particular attention to the start where Obama seems to take ownership of the 'individual rights' view and how good it is that the Supreme Court has adopted his view.

John McCain, more of the same.

FACT: He's voted with the President over 90% of the time. That's higher than just about any other Republican, House or Senate.

FACT: Bush has a 33% approval rating.

I guess you have to ask yourself......Do I really want more of the same?

Obama Wants NRA Ads Banned
Saturday, September 27, 2008 8:10 PM

By: Newsmax staff

The Obama camp has been threatening television and radio stations to keep them from airing anti-Obama ads.
The latest target is the NRA and stations in Pennsylvania.

Earlier this week, the National Rifle Association's Political Victory Fund released a series of radio and television spots to educate gun owners and sportsmen about Barack Obama's longstanding anti-gun record. In response to the NRA-PVF ads, a clearly panicked Obama campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) are doing everything they can to hide Obama's real record by mounting a coordinated assault on the First Amendment.
They have gone to desperate and outrageous lengths to try to silence your NRA by bullying media outlets with threats of lawsuits if they run NRA-PVF's ads.
The Obama camp is particularly angry with an NRA ad entitled "Hunter" which lays out Obama's record on gun control.
You can see the "Hunter" ad — Go Here Now: http://election.newsmax.com/nra_Hunter.html

Other NRA ads include "Way of Life" and another focusing on Joe Biden's record, "Defend Freedom, Defeat Obama."
This week, Obama's campaign general counsel Bob Bauer wrote seeking to censor the ads at stations in Pennsylvania.
"Unlike federal candidates, independent political organizations do not have a 'right to command the use of broadcast facilities,'" Bauer writes. "Moreover, you have a duty 'to protect the public from false, misleading or deceptive advertising.'"

"This advertising is false, misleading, and deceptive," Bauer continued. "We request that you immediately cease airing this advertising."
The NRA says Obama's camp are sending out these "intimidating cease and desist letters" to cable operators and television stations, threatening their FCC licenses if they run the ads.

The NRA charged that "Obama and the DNC have been using strong-arm tactics reminiscent of Chicago machine politics to try and cover up the truth and silence NRA by forcing the stations to assist them in hiding Obama's radical anti-gun record."
And now, Obama and the DNC have opened a new front in their assault on your First Amendment rights by calling on their followers to contact these station managers to demand that the stations not run NRA-PVF's ads.
NRA stands behind the accuracy of these ads, and NRA attorneys have responded to the Obama campaign's despicable and abusive attempt to trample on the First Amendment by sending a thorough rebuttal to station managers. This rebuttal clearly and conclusively refutes the Obama campaign's fallacious claims that the ads are inaccurate.

The NRA has set up a Web site detailing its position on Obama at http://www.gunbanobama.com.

A copy of the NRA's letter to station, written by its counsel Cleta Mitchell, follows below:

MEMORANDUM
CLIENT-MATTER NUMBER
999100-0130
TO: Station Managers
FROM: Cleta Mitchell, Esq.
Counsel to National Rifle Association
DATE: September 25, 2008
RE: Documentation for Advertising by National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund ("NRA-PVF")

This firm serves as counsel to the National Rifle Association (“NRA”) and the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund ("NRA-PVF"), which is the federal political action committee of the NRA and the sponsor of certain advertising purchased and soon-to-be purchased on your station. It has come to my clients’ attention that the Obama for President campaign is engaging in an effort to prevent or stop the airing of certain ads by NRA-PVF, falsely alleging that the ads are ‘inaccurate’. The Obama presidential campaign apparently relies on an article appearing in the Washington Post on September 23, 2008 to support its contention hat the NRA-PVF ads should not be aired.

The Washington Post is hardly an objective news source on any subject related to the issues to which the NRA is dedicated, having spent decades attacking not only the NRA but also fighting against the legislation and policies NRA supports to protect the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution, as well as supporting every conceivable government proposal or policy any officeholder or candidate suggests to weaken and disrupt the guarantees of the Second Amendment. It is therefore no surprise that the Washington Post would now attack the NRA for advertisements which truthfully disclose the anti-gun, anti-Second Amendment record of Barack Obama, the candidate supported by the Washington Post.
Attached please find the point-by-point refutation of the Washington Post’s article about the NRA-PVF ads regarding Obama’s record on the Second Amendment, as well as an article disclosing the bias of the decidedly not neutral “FactChecker” on which the Washington Post article is ostensibly based.
The NRA devotes 100% of its time and resources to protecting the Second Amendment and fighting for government policies and legislation furtherance of the rights of the American people to keep and bear arms.

The legislative and policy record of candidates and officeholders such as Barack Obama are well known and documented by the NRA on an ongoing basis. NRA-PVF’s advertising during the 2008 election cycle is based on that extensive research and documentation, which is being furnished to you with this Memorandum.

Accordingly, we respectfully request that your station disregard the shamefully false assertions from the Obama campaign and its attorneys regarding the NRA-PVF ads and that the ads run in accordance with the purchase(s) made by NRA-PVF in the media buy.

if no one else will respnd to this, i will. long chief hair, you are like a broken record that needs to be shut off. it is your precious democrats that have run this nation in the ground. clinton was a disaster, could not keep his mouth shut or pants buttons. that should give account of what to expect from obama, especially with a wife that after living in this country from birth, just now is proud to be an american! and beside that, have you watched osama bama when the pledge is given before the flag of these great united states? he refuses to salute! that alone should disqualify him to be president.

beside all that he is a man (obama) that has never held down a job exept being in politics.

Sanford, I hope YOU like him when he raises your taxes, votes to allow the killing of MORE unborn babies, shames the US with his rediculous foreign policies, decimates the Military, promotes racial divisions, funnels money to his Liberal cronies thereby helping the already weakening economy go further into the tank, etc...you get the idea.

BTW, you have said absolutely NOTHING about Joe Biden's absolute LIES that do not get covered by the media, other than some websites and talk radio.

"Back in the Great Depression, Roosevelt got on TV...blah blah blah..." You have let that one go without comment I notice.
Just one problem, Roosevelt was NOT the President then, it was Hoover, and NO ONE HAD TV's...

"No more coal plants in the US, NO NO NO..." Funny when Obama runs an ad supporting new coal plants in the US.

Not to mention the speeches he has given in the past that were copies of others writings, which he DID get castigated for BACK THEN, yet the media is strangely silent on them now.

You are a liberal blowhard and you SHOULD be careful what you wish for...Jimmy Carter must mean NOTHING to you huh??

Barack Hussein Obama says he's gonna give a tax break to 95% of the US...problem is that almost 50% of the us pays NO Federal Tax already...how is he going to give tax breaks to those that pay 0, nada, zip, zilch in taxes???

Its called LYING THROUGH YOUR DAM>N TEETH...anything to get elected.

All you Do is blow the same ol media reterick hell You Dont know nuthin about Any of the candidates that you aint heard on Some biased media have you EVER done any research on your Own????
Lets see how hard you can Blow after tonight...
Oh and try to actually WATCH the Debate and not just listen to what the media has to say or the Sound bites..
Again Why Wont you answer any of the Questions put to you...
While Obama has flip-flopped and even lied about several votes and policy issues, the most troubling lies he has told relate to his personal history and character. In one of his campaign ads, entitled “dignity,” Obama claims he “passed a law to move people from welfare to work –slashed the rolls by 80%.” Problem with this assertion is that this law in question was passed in 1996, and Obama did not enter the Illinois State Senate until 1997! Obama claims in another ad that he “worked his way through college and Harvard Law.” Problem with that assertion is: Obama had only two jobs during those years, and they were both summer jobs! Furthermore, Obama lied on his bar application to the state bar of Illinois on two counts: 1) He concealed his long history of illegal drug use and possession; and 2) He failed to report unpaid criminal citations in excess of $200.

And this is just 1/2 of the first page!!!!
And he is Running for PRESIDENT not VP and you Would CHoose him??????
How Can you In All honesty please tell us Why????
Come on CHANGE my Mind....

It has been proven time and again, either side will say whatever to get elected. Taxes are going up no matter who is elected... "Read my lips".
Babies are killed because women vote for the right of choice.
All speech writers for candidates use past phrases & terms/wording that have proven to give a positive effect for themselves and give negative impressions of their opposition, it's all just a battle of words to win.
The oil Barron's coffers are full, the green folks are happy for less demand/less emissions. What I'd like to know is, are they going to let the gas and home heating oil prices run rapid this winter? How much gouging is permissible when people are freezing to death, or will Wall Street and the free market be allowed to decide? LP is 4X what it was a couple yrs ago already, Lord only knows where it will go when the snow starts to fly. There are times through the year each industry makes profit but what was once a normal profit margin has become an inflated bubble of absurd cost due to the influx of the market wanting to capitalize on normal cycle demand. Mutual funds and hedge funds throw great amounts of cash into the particular commodity driving the price of what we pay through the roof. Money moving through the market is good but instead of being spread out, when it is bundled into great snow balls and all rolled into one area, it creates great bubbles of inflated market value falsely driving up price above "real" value... .com/oil/housing/credit/?...pure market manipulation. While their being allowed to make their runs, people are getting hit on every front, we have taken hits before but never so many from so many directions. What the Country needs is someone with integrity, faith has been destroyed, leadership by some example would be a refreshing start... ;)

I haven't posted in a while I have just been reading everyones opinion. I am still amazed that both parties won't except responsibility for their actions. Bush and the republicans have made some mistakes and anybody that does anything will but lets look at some of the things going on. 1) Clinton had 2 oppertunities to get Bin laden and had intelligence that Bin laden was involed in terrorist activities and he did nothing. If Clinton would have taken action 9/11 may have never happened, if 9/11 would not have happened then the war in the middle east may not have happened and the deficit that goes along with it may not have happened. 2) Clinton signed NAFTA into action in 1994 costing thousands of americans their jobs. 3)Clinton wrote and pushed through the legislature in 1995 that caused the financing fiasco we are in right now. The fact is that Clinton inherited a government that was in solid shape and Bush inherited a mess that Clinton started. It's hard to believe but old Bush was ridiculed for not getting Sadaam and young Bush is ridiculed for getting him. It is evident you hard line Democrats can't take a stand, just like Obama you flip flop.
