I'm just an old country boy in the mountains here in Virginia, so I need some help with complicated issues. I understood during tonight's debate that John McCain wants to tax our insurance and then give us a tax credit. My tax on the insurance amount does not equal $5,000, so.... wouldn't I come out to the good? Obama's plan sounds like Medi-Care/ - Medi/Cade to me, and how well does that work? As a simple man that runs a small farm store, I don't like the fact that Obama would not answer the questions about his insurance "fine" to Americans that do not have health insurance that the government says they should. Do me a favor before you support Obama's insurance plan. It is my understanding I can have the same insurance as him. Ask your Senetor what they pay for health insurance. Mine pays $123.21 every 2 weeks. I pay $56 every 2 weeks. I don't think I can afford what the millionaire senators pay without thier pay. Just spouting out about some issues besides guns. Insurance is a fundamental crisis we are going through and an issue I do not think the government needs to control. We do not need "big brother" telling us what insurance plans to have. We are not the USSR or China. We are a democracy and that means we have freedoms and choices. I am not a sheep (disreguard any internet pictures you may see of me and sheeeeep )

That is a very good point, bear this in mind as well...When asked by Tom Brokejaw if the candidates thought health care coverage was:
A. A priviledge
B. A right
C. A responsibility
John McCain said(to my disatisfaction) that he thought it was a responsibility.
Obama said, of course, that he thought it was a right...
I have read the Constitution many times, and I have yet to find the clause, article,or ammendment that spells out the RIGHT to healthcare coverage. If you are going to use the blanket explanation of "the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness", well then I have a right to a brand new Chevy Pickup...that would make me happy. Sanford, get on that and make sure I get it by February huh....

The 1st amendment allows the usual liberal narcissistic "I think.." which is how they start all their sentences.
The second amendment protects us from implementing "I think"
