Post Election Predictions

Post by bluegrass »

I wanted to see how many correct predictions we can get should Obama win...we have to post these before the election though to show how good we are at prophecy...LOL. Feel free to leave your predictions as well, but please be SPECIFIC. No general statements like "bad economy" or "rising prices"...list specifics like "dow jones tumbles over 2000 points in the first 6 months"...things like that. Remember these are only IF Obama gets elected.

My predictions are as follows:

1. I predict a massive sell off on Wall Street due to Obama's desire to raise the Capital Gains tax and general rise in taxation for EVERYONE. Investors will sell before he takes the oath of office.
2. I predict that terrorists WILL NOT strike the continental US...they value Obama in office and want his complicity...they WILL however attack US interests overseas, including stepping up their aggression towards Israel due to Obama's lack of desire to maintain strategic relations with our only true ally in the Middle East.
3. I predict that Congress will act quickly to enact the Fairness Doctrine to silence opposing viewpoints currently available on talk radio, which Conservatives dominate.
4. Bush will be blamed for EVERYTHING...goes without saying. Specifically some members of Congress will feel emboldened enough given a Democrat president to propose bringing charges against GW Bush and Dick Cheney...it will not pass, but only narrowly so.
5. Gas prices will rocket back over the 4.00 a gallon mark, specifically hitting 6.00 a gallon shortly after Obama's first year in office...he will do NOTHING about it either. He does NOT favor drilling, he has no comprehensive plan for getting our own oil, therefore the OPEC nations will raise prices/cut production at will.
6. The housing industry will continue to suffer losses and home values will plummet. There will be an increase in interest rates within his first two years reminiscent of the Carter Years.
7. Congress will enact legislation to severly restrict firearm sales, including a massive tax on ammunition and reloading supplies.
8. Illegal immigration(which NO ONE is talking about in this campaign) will increase dramatically, with Middle Eastern immigrants making a big splash. Muslims will be very active in the courts to add Mosques all over the US, despite American Citizens objections.
9. Hillary Clinton will wind up on the Supreme Court, as well as Jennifer Granholm from another failed state, Michigan.
10. Obama will propose Reparations for Slavery within his first two years...

Just a few fearless predictions. Liberals are welcome, even encouraged to give their predictions. Perhaps BEV could lock this post after the election so we can all look back to see how prophetic we are.

I have been following the polls Tony and McCain is starting to close the gap. I don't believe polls, btw and think the liberal biased media uses them to manipulte voters and they are as about as honest as Obama and Acorn.
It ain't over til its over!
The only predictions I will make is if Obama wins we will become a Socialist country and our Constitutional rights will be greatly diminished.
Fairness doctrine, Gun Control, increased taxes, religous freedoms (Christian)....socialism.

I know what you mean about the polls. McCain is closing and I dont think the gap has been as high as the socialist media has reported....I have known that the liberal media is in the tank for ANY socialist, even those with hatred for the US...but I just wanted to see some predictions and see if we can accurately predict what will happen IF he gets in...I intend to start a thread for predictions IF McCain gets in as well.

Tony I agree with all but #9 and I would add that the unemployment rate will hit 15% and crime will continue to grow at an alarming rate.

Like I said the American people have what they wanted. Obama will destroy this Nation, the Mussilms did say they would take over and this is the first step. The Change is comeing---reep the whirlwind liberals. Glad I will be able to stand before my maker and not be accused of voteing for ANY Liberal slime baby killers. This Nation the way its headed reminds me of Hitler's Germany,Obama will have us Goose stepping to his tune,he wants his version of the SS.

Have you checked the NASDAQ today, bluegrass? It's down almost 500 points.

The Dow Jones Average was down 486 points...the NASDAQ was down 98...actually a larger percentage drop than the Dow...
Prediction number 1 coming to be much faster than I originally thought it would...someone said two days ago that the stock market had an Obama win already priced in, while a McCain win would likely send it upward....apparently they stock market did NOT have an Obama win priced into it...this WILL be the first of many sell-offs we will see before January 20th. Oh you will see the market swing up at times, there will be some that will by when they see a good bargain, but the majority of the activity will be selling before the new administration.

On another note, please check out this story...when the TERRORISTS applaud us for our choice of President, we KNOW WE HAVE MADE THE WRONG DAM.N CHOICE.

You are so correct, but not all of us made the wrong choice, just the majority.

Uh, Earl, lighten up...its a thread called PREDICTIONS...not PROPHECY. Predictions can be wrong and for the sake of our country I really hope I am wrong on each and every one of them. I dont think that will happen though, but it would be nice. To answer your question about prayer, yes I have and the answer was NO...

BTW, some "change"...Rahm Emanuel for Chief of Staff...Clinton holdover and absolute SOB from both sides of the aisle...change we can believe in. LMFAO

Earl the best way to anticipate the future is the look in the past. How Obama was raised, who he associated with and most important is his voting record. Insight into those areas will give you an idea of what to expect. That combined with the congress and the government in general is controlled by his party and the media and the public have given him a free pass with basically no obstructions. We all hope were wrong but the facts dont paint a pretty picture. The stock market had the worst day in history yesterday the day after a new president elect. If the people with the money dont trust him were in trouble because thats who create jobs and build the economy. Time will tell.

I predict the world is liken to a self-winding clock, it works to wind and unwind itself at the same time while maintaining balance of force to make an accurate long lasting time piece. For every action, there is a equal and opposite reaction. If allowed to over-wind, you pop the spring. If allowed to unwind, all comes to a stop. We have the case where, the harder one force kicks, the harder the other kicks back until it becomes nothing about the whole purpose of the clock and keeping time, it is simply one force reacting to the other... We have to unwind a bit and get back to keeping time without threat of breaking up the whole works.
I think most of your thoughts will come to past, it is a wave already put into motion, who ever was elected, the ripple out effect will continue, it is the undoing of the wrong that was done.
It was decided the taxpayer will pick up the bill, but many of these losses are hard assets and those who have the money will pick these up for a song and make money when the military come home and the demand for housing once again rises.
This is a great Country and continues to deliver it's created purpose, freedom and the pursuit of happiness, a place where dreams can come true. The President has an overwhelming task before him, we need a man who cares about Country first, we need a people who care about Country first and not just personal agendas. When the hoop-la wears off, we'll see how the people he selects and the policies they implement impact the situation. One thing is for sure, they will set the stage for the future, they will be like the white dog in a pack of tri-colour, especially noticed whether the work you do is poor or good, you will have to earn your place.
May God continue to bless us and may we learn to take the bitter with the sweet, as lessons of the vanity we all fight within ourselves... :blackeye:
