where should the money be spent

Post by beaglechase »

where should the money be spent to get the best bang for the buck..shouldn't both parties be concerned where the stimulus package should be spent, the earmarks and the previous bad judgement policies are thrown out. what next? do the republicans realy want to be part of the future? bipartisn bill is looking mighty slim, and this is what the president desperately wanted, will he get it....?

What kind of question is that??????????? Prove how more government spending is gonna solve any of our financial problems!!!!!!!!!!! Until MANUFACTOR AMERICA is restored , no amount of "stimulus" spending can help in any way. Only make it worse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have we not learned from what China did to us from the last Olypics???? China's Huge infrastructure projects all at one time cause supply shortages here in the USA. You don't see this happing again if we start mass infrastructure projects ourselves that aren't spread out over time. It affected, Steel, concrete, asphalt, copper, aluminum, etc. prices increased so bad that it haulted alot of construction jobs over here in the USA. Why would we want to do this to ourselves again. Shingle prices (1 brand we use) alone went from $70 a square to $118 a square since last January. That's not INFLATION??????

Our President, if he wants to attempt to solve anything with our finance situation, needs to focus on getting the USA to get back to building and producing in our country the products and neccesities that each us need or want out of life. Get our country to be more self sufficient in our manufactored products. Long term employment, not short term employment with a supply shortage outcome.

This should not be a REPUBLICAN or DEMOCRAT ego trip to spend our tax money, it needs to be a" ONE NATION UNDER GOD" solution to a bigger problem than most anyone wants to admitt too and point fingures at. I beleive the situation at hand is the next biggest thing our country has got to deal with unitedly since the signing of our Constitution. The simplest, yet hardest to accomplish, thing we need to do is cut the free trade, Tarrif all imports heavily, and get our own people making what we need. Why can't anyone see this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope this bill dies as it is. Bipartisn is a word the Democrats use but don't know the meaning. I hope as a Republican that we are not a part of the future INFLATION that this dangerous spending will bring.

This may be a coincidence, but give it some thought!!!!!

On 60 min. last year they stated that certain banks in the USA owned 20% of the crude oil shares. If that is true and the value dropped dramitly last fall from $140 plus a barrel to under $40 a barrel. All of the sudden our banks are broke, need a bail out, and only certain banks received $$$$ with no hassel from Congress like the big 3 faced. HUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Am I reading into this or is there a good ???? to be asking here.

Well I reckon if I can't pay my bills I will just borrow money and spend more. I will have a nice new tv, but no cable. All new kitchen appliances, but no power. A nice house until I am off on the street. You can't solve money problems by spending money. I think it is time for an axe, not a scalpal (haven't seen that either) to cut spending. Keep gas under $2 a gallon (almost there now), quit handing $8000 back in taxes to people because they have a house full of kids and paid $1500 in taxes when I paid over $5000 and got back $1350. Make people get off thier :moon: and do something for the money I give them every week for food stamps and SSI (Still Stealing Income). 90% of the people on "disability" could do something to help the community. Make them do it. Cut out welfare for people having 8 kids at a time when they already have 6 at home. Call "social programs" WELFARE because that is what it is. People looking for a hand out. Well I am tired of handing my money to them. REFORM! I thought we were not going to do "buisness as usual" in Washington, BS! Don't spend $3 million on owls. Spend it on education of our youth. Don't spend $3 million on a waterpark in Florida, spend it to make our government offices more energy efficient. Come on people, wake up! Money will not fix this. Money and greed is what got us into this, and all I hear is "what am I going to get out of this....". NOTHING! The government owes us nothing. We owe them. We live here and we elect those that control our laws. We decided to take prayer out of school. We decided to deregulate Wall Street. We decided to pass NAFTA! We decided to increase our national debt. We should be ashamed!
