Beaglechase, you are starting to sound a little silly.

With the amount of money that Obama will wind up spending you could fight 13 wars in Iraq and Afghanistan...Bush didnt rack up an 11.3 TRILLION deficit. Thats absurd and you could easily check it out but you wont because the TRUTH about it doesnt fit you liberal agenda.

It was the clip of Rick Santelli at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange calling for a tea party and the liberl news actaully showed it on national television. He is upset with Obama's stimulus bill to bail out people who borrowed more than they could afford to pay back in the home mortgage arena. Do a google search on Rick Santelli and you can read more..in detail.

And by all rights they shouldn't be bailed out.... It was their careless spending and over extension on credit that got them in that situation. What I see is that most of those people use credit cards to charge and pay later, it isn't per say the mortgage industry that has actually gotten these people into mortgages they couldn't handle it is the credit card companies that over extend people once they get a mortgage they send out a bazzillion credit card offers and these people jump at the credit card like it is a freebee they won't have to pay back because of the low minimum payment 5% of balance generally, which is nearly interest only payment. They rack that baby up to the limit and then go and get a Home Equity Line of Credit to pay off their over extended credit card debt which would have worked but the idiots instead of canceling their credit card go and charge it back up to the max then cry cause they can't pay the over exorbitant interest rate on their credit card monthly payment due to extensive credit they then can increase the interest rate to 24% or more because a credit card company can increase your interest rate every time your credit is checked, increased any debt at all, or you are one day late on any payment. That means if you are to make your credit card payment due on Jan 1, you had better have that payment in a week early cause they hold that payment off the books until the payment is cleared your bank and the report is back to them stating that account received. They don't mark your credit payment on day received. This in a nut shell is what is killing people and their mortgages. The government should have put a major stomp down on the credit card industry prior to the mortgage industry and this would have resolved a lot of credit issues.

I don't think that bailing out the people that are going into foreclosure because of these issues is that answer. I believe that if anything they need to pay the money they borrowed, however I do feel that the lending institutes since the interest rate they can borrow is at such a low cost could prevent foreclosure by modifying the existing mortgages by reducing their interest rates on these mortgages and no longer offer the adjustable rate mortgages and pull up their socks and lock those interest rates on the adjustable rate mortgages. In the long run this would also stop a lot of the foreclosures and therefore the banks would not loose money on those deals. This country is hemorrhaging from over extension of credit, and giving more credit and borrowing from the future is not going to solve anything. If you have no reasonable guarantee of future income then how can you borrow from it? That is what our country is doing... Is there a guarantee of future income from the non working class? IF not then why are they extending credit in the belief that that class is going to get a job, pay taxes and become a productive citizen of the country? In history since the welfare act those that were born into welfare remain in the system. It is crazy to think that history will turn over a new leaf just because they signed a recovery bill....
