No, Michele Obama does not get paid to serve as the First Lady and she doesn't perform any official duties. But this hasn't deterred her from hiring an unprecedented number of staffers to cater to her every whim and to satisfy her every request in the midst of the Great Recession.

Just think, Mary Lincoln was taken to task for purchasing china for the White House during the Civil War. And Mamie Eisenhower had to shell out the salary for her personal secretary from her husband's salary.

The dealer discounted them $2000. and there were tax credits for electric vehicles equal to $6,500. Aren't our Congressmen intelligent? Don't you feel warm and fuzzy that uninformed tax payers are forced to pay for luxury items for golfers.
Maybe we should pay the cost of shipping them to the Virgin Islands to ride around our new nature park.

It makes great press doesn't it??? Too bad Dr. Paul L. Williams' story tells 10% of the truth along with 90% lies. I googled "first lady's aides" and the first thing that came up was this reliable, unbiased, source from Today MSNBC.

It talks about why she AND others before her require such a large supporting cast.

(Counting on the 6 to 10 guys here probably won't go to these links provided, I'll give you all the basic info.) If you read half way down, it claims that Michelle does have 24 aides, close to number that Dr. Paul L. Williams' story claims at a cost of $1.5 million. That is true. But here comes the lies. That's about the same number of aides for Laura Bush and Hillary Clinton, not added together either. That's about 24 for Laura and about 24 for Hillary, not the 1 and 3 reported in your story.

Did anybody notice the "countdown until Obama leaves office" clock on the Canada Free Press' site? Are they unbiased? Check out how many category links they have to Canadian related items, 3, verses American category links, 14. How Canadian are they? One would have to wonder!!!!!

If I'm wrong, I'm opened minded so show me a credible source that says otherwise. One hint, any stories referring to Dr. Paul L. Williams or anything from the Canada Free Press, (American is more like it), ain't one of them.

Don't get me wrong, I want to hear news that's blatantly wrong that needs attention by all Americans. A GOOD example is when it was brought before the American people that 18 soldiers were electrocuted in Iraq by simply taking a shower. Taking a simple shower, not a bullet, not an IED, but a simple shower!!!!! (At least one was on their third tour.) My brothers from the IBEW went there and helped fixed the problem. At least 2 of them were close union brothers to me. That's right, union electricians from the IBEW were sent to fix the problem. Did you read that in the press? NO!!!!! Did you here anything else about further electrocutions? NO!!!!! I'd say "PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!" How could they fix the problem you say????? They were "TRAINED"!!!!! That's what the IBEW and other construction unions do all the time, every day, every week, every month, every year, all the time. To bad it cost 18 American soldiers' lives.

I also understand that you 6 to 10 guys here may not care for Obama but don't be the spreading cancer by using lies such as this. That's the last thing this country needs. I'm just as pissed off as you.

Maybe the difference between you 6 to 10 guys here and me is I despise Congress a hell of a lot more. That includes all of them, Dems, Repub's and Independents alike. Obama's not the threat here------yet. Look at his signature reform that he wants, health care. He wants it so bad but he can't due to Congress, the Senate to be more exact. They control everything. He can't do much when Congress is acting the way they are. IF Congress gets their act together, that's when we'll see what he's made of.

The vacating of Congressmen have already started with the Democrats. That's a start and I think that makes them look good in the peoples' eye. But the Republicans should take their cue here and do the same as well. Since they haven't yet, I think that makes them look bad. They won't though because of unprecedented partisanship that runs amok on BOTH sides of the isle. The answer is-----GET RID OF ALL OF THEM and see if Ross Perot or Colin Powell is still available. It can't hurt much more.

Here it says it's true that Michelle currently has 22 aides on her staff. But it goes on to say that Laura Bush had 24 to 26, Lady Bird Johnson had 30, Betty Ford had about the same. BUT GET THIS!!!!! Jacqueline Kennedy had 40!!!!!

Did I forget to mention that Jackie O also was instructed to remodel the White House as well????? That's another way to spread false information as well. It's called using half truths. But I see that you 6 to 10 guys already have that down pat as well.
