In 1990, Obama beat out 18 other contenders to become the first black president of the Harvard Law Review, where he spent at least 50 hours a week editing submissions from judges, scholars and authors. According to Politico, there were "eight dense volumes produced during his time in charge there – 2,083 pages in all." No published writing from obama? According to Politico, Obama's name does not appear on any legal scholarships during his time at Harvard. Why Didn't Obama Publish anything in the law journal he edited? Richardson, the former Attorney General, and Irwin Griswold, a dean of the Harvard Law School and Solicitor General under Presidents Lyndon B. Johnson and Richard M. Nixon. That system came under attack in the 1970’s and was replaced by a program in which about half the editors are chosen for their grades and the other half are chosen by fellow students after a special writing competition. The new system, disputed when it began, was meant to help insure that minority students became editors of The Law Review.

How about we make the only voter eligibilty requirement be that they own property, seeing how they pay additional taxes, and it's their dollars that keep the schools running, the streets fixed, the water treated and the garbage picked up. Originally it was intended that only landowners could vote. It only makes sense that a LANDOWNER should get to decide if they want to pay higher property taxes for certain projects or town functions...why should apartment dwellers, renters, etc get to vote to raise property taxes on the OWNERS of what they rent?? They actually hurt themselves though since the property owners only pass the higher taxes down through the rent...then its harder for poorer people to rent a place, snowball begins!!!

But they don't think about the cause and affect that is why they live in apartments. It is like an earlier post on here the rich are rich for a reason it is because they know how to manage their money better then the ones that don't have. You give some people a $1,000.00 and they go and buy toys when their children need food and clothes. This is due to to many expect the hand out and freebee, live day to day not trying to better their situation. Those that do try and better their situation do dig them selves out of a hole may seem like eternity, but it is possible when you have a plan. It is just like when they increase minimum wage did anything stay the same price from fast food, candy bars to rent? NO it did not, you know why it cost more for companies to produce the same product, and who pays the price? John Q Public that thought a wage increase would better his situation, but all it did was inflate the cost to the State, or Country on what ever product the wage increase affected. The only one that may have benefited from the increase was the government for everyone is now in a higher tax bracket for that didn't go up. Pretty smart of them to increase wages don't ya think?

Rufus, I beg you to find out the amount of money that has been taken from workers of all income levels, since LBJ's "Great Society Program", and given to the poor.

You cannot change human nature. You can't make a worthless dog hunt and you can't make a human being improve himself.
Oprah spent a fortune on a familey, trying to improve their standard of living. Finally, after spending big bucks, she gave up. Within a short time after she cut off the subsistance, the family was back in poverty.

I once read a book on a study of primitive cultures. The author had studied the American Indian tribes for his case sudies. He mentioned that when horses were brought to America, some were lost and began to multiply. Soon the Native Americans began to utilize them in their lives. In his example the Cheyenne quickly learned to ride and used horses in battle, in their hunting of bison, and as pack animals. Another tribe, too lazy to hunt, instead killed their horses for food.

In the liberal mind, the Cheyenne owed a share of their horses so the lazy tribe would remain healthy and could thereby be able to drag their butts to the voting booth. They could earn an extra horse if they voted more than once or if their dead ancesters voted.
