As far as your response Rufus, if that was the case then why in the hell are there so many people that are able to work, drawing WELFARE. Democrats are for free hand outs to those that want them. So much easier to get it from the government then to work for it. Get off your dead beat arsses and work for it , just like I have done for the last 35 years.
I could go on for hours but it's a waste of time, just like trying to have a conversation with a democrat.

No one said that Rufus. What I did say is that the (democrats) are for hand outs for those that are able to work but find it easier to draw welfare.
I've had two back surgeries along with three knee surgeries, my left arm was almost torn off and poorly repaired by Military doctors and I still work everyday. Now if I can still be productive in this world, so can three quarters of the recipients of welfare.

So Ruf...do you think the majority of non-working welfare recipients are Democrats or Republicans? What about the multi-generation welfare families..mostly Democrats or Republicans? I take some of the core issues that I really fell strongly about and vote the person who most follows my thoughts. Some of the key issues, gun control, abortion, I don't object to them, just don't want to use my money to pay for them, and the government staying out of my life. I like to keep what I work for. Hate to be taxed so that someone else can sit at home and watch oprah.

By the way, just some info on that William Lloyd Garrison you have in your tagline...he was FAR from an INDEPENDENT like you have him listed...he was an ANTI CONSTITUTIONIST and Left Wing Radical....even back then. While we will all agree that slavery is and was reprehensible and we are better off without it, it WAS just the token cause he latched onto to voice his anti constitution rhetoric.


Garrison made a name for himself as one of the most articulate, as well as most radical, opponents of slavery. His approach to emancipation stressed nonviolence and passive resistance, and he attracted a vocal following. While some other abolitionists of the time favored gradual emancipation, Garrison argued for "immediate and complete emancipation of all slaves". On July 4, he publicly burnt a copy of the Constitution condemning it as "pro-slavery".[2]

William L. Garrison publicly burned a copy of the Constitution in 1844, declaring it "a Covenant with Death, an Agreement with Hell," referring to the compromise that had written slavery into the Constitution. This further signified his opposition to slavery in the 19th Century.

When he was 25 he joined the Abolition movement. For a brief time he became associated with the American Colonization Society, an organization that believed free blacks should immigrate to a territory on the west coast of Africa. Although some members of the society encouraged granting freedom to slaves, the majority saw the relocation as a means to reduce the number of free blacks in the United States and thus help preserve the institution of slavery. By late 1829–1830 "Garrison rejected colonization, publicly apologized for his error, and then, as was typical of him, he censured all who were committed to it." (William E.
