I was out with my son running the hounds this morning & he looked me in the eye & said "Dad, I sure will be glad when this hot weather is over & the hunting gets better, I sure do like it better in colder weather!" I was thinking he was longing for fried rabbit & gravy or to hear a dog killer on a big frost or something like that, so I asked him, "what do you like best about rabbit hunting when it gets colder ?" He replied, " I don't have to pick no more black berries while the dogs is running!"
He is 6 years old & already smarter than me !
