trip of a lifetime

Everyone can use a little humor. Good-natured jokes and stories can brighten a day and go well with that first cup of coffee. (Let's keep'em clean)

trip of a lifetime

Post by denny606 »

Two guys were going north for a weekend of skiing when a sudden intense blinding blizzard hit while they were on a deserted two lane road and the driver lost control and ended up stuck in a snow drift .Realizing their predicament they saw a light on in a farm house and decided to take their chances on a place to stay for the night,so they made it to the front door and noticed a wreath on the door and hesitated to knock but knew they had to find shelter. An attractive woman came to the door and they explained their situation and asked if it would be possible to spend the night .The woman explained that her husband had been killed about 6 months ago and that it wouldn't look right for two men to spend the night in the house with her,but said they were welcome to stay in the garage as it had a coal stove and a couple of beds that her late husband's hunting buddys stayed in when they used to come and hunt together .Well they thought that was plenty good enough of her to be that kind to a couple of complete strangers and spent the night and dug out their carthe next morning and went on to enjoy a great weekend of skiing. About ten months later one of the men calls the other and asks if he remembereed their ski trip and he said" sure do why?"and his friend asked him if he remembered the young widow, again he answered yes, then he asked him if he had slipped out and paid her a visit during the night ,again yes was the answer. He said, now truthfully, did you give her my name instead of yours. He said yes I did. Please don't tell me she's had a baby and called you up. His friend replied "oh no nothing like that but I did get a call from an attorney who said she had passed away suddenly and left me the farmhouse and three hundred acres!!!
