Set him up right on the edge of the bench closest too you. Do not get close to him. Stay back as far as you can while postioning him.

Once you have him postioned....... If he is still leaning, lightly pull the skin on his side closest too you, pull it toward you. He will want to counter act that motion by pulling the opposite direction and should stand better. It is with any thing do the opposite. If you want them to put their right foot down lightly pick up on the left one. Guranateed the right one should touch, unless the hound has incredible balance.

If he keeps falling he will soon realize that there is got to be a better way to do it.

The leaners are difficult! wvbill has it right. you just don't get too close to them. pulling on the side closest to you or reaching over and pushing on the other will make them stand straight. A lot of us show people use stacking stilts which are basically wooden stilts for the dogs to stand on. Rather than buying some I think 4 tuna cans work just as well. If you need more info just ask.
