Joe and I did it! We beat an nice AKC Champion dog for Joes first AKC Conformation point today and a huge BEST OF VARIETY ribbon :)
Joe is the 6 year old showbred dog that Larry had for three years and hunted in SPO, then he offered him free on the website with this picture.

Leah saw the post, emailed me right away and I took ONE LOOK, read Joe's pedigree, and made sure he was MINE!
I will post his win picture as soon as possible ;)

Just had to brag on my boy. I LOVE this dog!

Thankyou guys!
Today Joe got to breed a little maiden bitch who just thinks he is The King, LOL!!! I honestly have never seen a bitch so excited by a dog...I thought I had, but this one...well she's a little minx!

Way to Go!!! Cindy has done a beautiful Job conditioning Joe and getting him ready to enter the ring. Its not everyday a 6 year old dog can go from the field to the conformation ring and win over a seasoned special.

Congrats, Cindy... I offered another one even better on here, also free, no one wants him so I'll just keep running bunnies with him. Kinda makes ya wonder, don't it! You get thousands for one, I can't give 'em away.

Oh yeah... and here's the kind of pups he's getting off of field bitches...

well you have to keep in mind that Joe was bred by Jon Woodring and is all show dog...he just ended up in a hunting home for a few years but he SHOULD have finished as a showdog YEARS ago. HE'S NOT FIELD BRED OR A FIELD CH., OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT.
Basically my challenge is taking a 6 yr. old dog with no formal show training who has lived out in a kennel all his life and trying to finish him.
Here is a picture of his litter with my ch. show girl Honey
