Trial Male

Post by cdsmithky »

Whelped on 4/20/02. AKC,UKC, and ARHA registered. Since I've owned the dog, been in 2 UKC hunts and has a 2nd place, also has a best in show in the only bench he was entered in UKC. Medium to fast, but usually will run with what you put him with. Can run with anything and loves the front. Has good hunt and line control. Handles well, collar broke and gunned over. Hunts better with a pack and in good shape. Only fault, which isn't a fault by any means, is he's a little tight mouthed. Dog is around 14 inches, but is officially 13 in. measured in AKC. Will give a one week trial with money up front. Will also show here. Located in Campton, KY. Price is $400 FIRM. Please serious inquiries only. If you're not really interested save us both the trouble. I can probably send pictures if really interested. Dog is tri-colored, blanket back. Good looking dog. Call 606-668-3802 evening or 606-434-1352 during the day.

When running a track he gives plenty of mouth, blows out of the check good. He's not cold nosed, and just doesn't open up quick enough for me. This is not a bad thing, but I've been running some UKC trials and he just doesn't open early enough, usually when he barks there's a rabbit. I've had the dog about 8 months and never had a problem with deer. My pup started a deer and he ran with it this evening. I'm almost positive they saw the deer when the pup started, but he did run it. Just being honest. The dog has been ran in deer since I've had him and never offered to start a deer track. I would have bet he wouldn't run one but goes to show you never know.
