Josh I have a full mate to dog #1 that is 15 months old and I really like him alot. If I didn't already have some pups that are getting ready to go to the pen I would be interested in him. As far as him being a little timid mine was the same way but after running him a for a couple of weeks he came right out of it. Now there is not a timid bone in him. This will make someone a nice hound.

Dont mean to threadjack, but I gotta question, I look through the ads everyday looking for a good hound, my question is, how would a dog bred to run on sod, (or bred from dogs not usually running on snowy conditions) do in snow against snowshoe hare? SHould I be looking specifically for dogs bred to run in snow?

no problem
but i really wouldnt know
id say you would look for a dog with a real big nose and good track power
i know i read the maravics blood was bred to run on snow as well as alot of the canadian bred hounds
but i really dont know alot about what to look for in a good snow hound
sorry
