The minis will feature a sleep/wake mode. What's it do? It saves your battery if you are traveling between hunting spots. Put the collar to sleep, then when you are ready, wake the collar up (it will take between 35-40 seconds for the Handheld to re-acquire the collar). The dog does not have to be at your feet to do this (but, it does have to be within range). Because the mini battery life is less than the battery life on the standard TT 15 / T 5, this sleep/wake mode allows you to save battery without having to remove the collar to turn it off. (**Note...make sure your collar always has a full charge before you go to the field and make sure you turn it off to charge it when you're done in the field.**)
