i have a 10'' octagon barrel chambered in 22 hornet with tc mount,,,it has a bushnell magnum phantom 2x5 scope on it,,,,

barrel is in great condition with normal scuffs,,,

225 with scope 175 withouut

Ring, forgive my ignorance but what is the range on a .22 Hornet? I only have one barrel for my Contender, the 16" 45/410 and may look into getting more out of mine since they make so many barrels. By the way, guys, anyone considering T/C barrels, this is really a good price. They generally run in the mid 200's. You are basically getting the scope free.

The 22 hornet is a great caliber. It will take down just about anything at ranges up to a 150 yards. I carry one in my truck on the farm and it gets plenty of action. It's a killin machine. Shells can be a little pricey but you do get 50 rounds in a box.
BTW, it is a center fired cartridge unlike the 22LR or the 22 mag and reloadable!

dramey,,,,,,,,,houndog is correct,it is very accurate 150-200 yards, it is a little smaller than a 223 but a whole lot bigger than a 22 mag,,,,yes this price is a steal since the mount and scope is included,,,,,,,id trade for a 44 mag a 41 mag a 35 rem or a 30-30 barrel, but of coarse id sell it strait out to,,,,,,

Ringtail, I have to pass on the barrel. It's a great deal and I hate to miss out but the tranny is going out on our Honda and we have to take it to Morristown, Tn. Estimated cost: $2000!!!!!!!!! Sorry!
