Wildlife 3850,s
Looking for some used wildlife 3850 tracking collars, preffer 219. frequency but will consider others. changeable battery

Have one 3850 wildlife 217 freq. changable battery like new for sale.
Just judge the Hounds, Don't worry who the owner is.

Here is a little electronics for you.
The higher the frequency, the shorter the wavelength and the more power it takes to cover the same area. Why do you think that public radio uses the low end of the frequency dial of your radio? They can cover a larger broadcast area with less output from the transmitter.
I don't want to sit down and get the cobwebs out of my brain and figure the difference between a 217 collar and a 219 collar. I would assume that they would cover the same amount of distance, therefore the 219 collar would need more power to do it and therefore the battery life would be shorter.... Just some food for thought.
