went to surgeon today

8 years ago, I was told that I sprung my wrist playing football. Just went to the surgeon and not only is the scaphoid bone in my wrist broken in half, but there is major blood flow to the bone damage due to arthritis. In December, I am having what is called a four corner fusion. The surgeon will remove the broken bone completely and fuse the four bones surrounding it together. I'll be able to do desk work in two weeks, but will be in a cast four 2-3 months. Really gonna put a wrench in gunning and trialing this season. Lord willing, things will go without a hitch. I'm ready to be done with it. Prayers much appreciated.
