Smith & Wesson model 629 (44 magnum)

Post by sgc »

Smith & Wesson model 629 (44 magnum) stainless with a 5 inch barrel. This gun is basically new. Bought it to carry when running beagles in the north, but never did or felt a need to. Shot 8 rounds out of it when I bought it to try it out & thats it. Its been sitting since. This gun is literally like new. Has Smith & Wesson case & paperwork it came in. Still has oil paper it was wrapped in. Price is $675 for Michigan or $700 for out of state (due to FFL & shipping fee). Price this gun new or go to auction arms to see that this is a good deal. Stan

Thanks. Its a nice gun; I just never used it. Its sitting in a safe. I bought a box of rounds when I bought it & it has 8 missing from it. I only shot it one time, so I know it has only had 8 rounds fired from it. I was talking to a guy from Guns Galore in Fenton Mi, today who told me new with taxes the best he could sell one for was just under $800. This is a little less than other quotes I had gotten, so I'm pretty sure thats as cheap as a new one could be found. So, I guess, also, I would be willing to come down a little. It would make a bear hound hunter a great gun; especially with the 5 inch barrel. Its a big gun that would be easy to carry. Do you know of any bear hound sites that have classified postings? Thanks, Stan
