What are you guys carrying while out running your dogs? I want something that would be reasonably accurate at 30 yards.

If it were legal in the communist state of Maryland I would carry a keltec pmr 30. Light weight and 30 rounds of 22 mag at your finger tip.

S&W Model 629 44 magnum with a 5" barrel when in bear country. The 5" barrel makes it accurate and easy to carry.

I carry a Glock as well, but I go with the Glock 20...full sized 10mm...if you need more firepower out of a handgun you're running in Kodiak country...lol.

Accurate at 30 yards is more the shooter than anything and it's pretty subjective. If you're going for accurate at 30 yards I'd stick with something of the full size variety to make it easier.

I carry a couple different pistols when I hunt....I've got a Ruger LCR .38 with laser grips that shoots great but it's tough to shoot less than a 5" group at 30 yards with it and I also carry a Glock 43 but that isn't accurate for me at 30 yards....it can stay on 6" plate but beyond that no guarantees.

I also have a Ruger Super Redhawk .44 mag that is extremely accurate at 30 yards it is well under 1.5" group the downside is it's huge and not fun for carry, I prefer to carry something that weighs under 1 lb and is accurate at close defense distances...a heavy pistol will be OK if you use a shoulder holster but a belt holster will wear you out in a day.
