throwing corn on the ground

Post by dhoundman »

when you just throw corn out on the ground for rabbits to eat !!!!!!!!!!!! stop because after it get wet and temperatures stay above freezing for 2 or 3 days it can very quickly get a mold on it.
Then when the rabbits eat it they will get sick at the very , or even die from it You must keep it off the ground and away from water getting on it. If you look at it very closely you will see black speck on it that is bad for rabbit. Learned this the hard way lost all my rabbit's in training pin. like so many people t I thought the birds of prey and coyotes where eating them. After trial and error lots of time watching the pen for predators I seen one of the rabbits out move slow . So I caught it and had it checked out by a professional and that is what brought me to know about the corn. Not an easy find but thought you all might want to now.
