Switch Grass & Big Blue Stem~~~~~~~~~~~~~~>

Post by Aubrey Holcombe »

Anyone on here ever tried to get these two types of grass started inside their Starting or Running Pens ?

For some reason, I have heard that these two will be very good for my Starting pens? I have been trying to get them started now, for several years and I have lurn a lots but yet to know, all the answer.

If anyone has been successful, with them, let me know WHATS, the main thing.. I found that these seed are so small they can't be used in drop seeder like clover, oats ,wheat etc. I had to hand sow them, the ground temp. has to be 65 degrees, and that all other grass and weeds Must be sprayed, and killed, before planting, as they can not com-peat with others. Once you get them established they do make for some mighty good cover and food for the wild rabbits inside, the pens.

Anyone that has this, lets talk about your success.
