I have a two-row JD # 71 planter and an old grain drill I bought for $35.00 at an auction. It ain't pretty but it works. I mostly plant corn with the planter but have also planted cow peas. I sometimes use a hand seeder, especially if frost seeding clover in the spring.
I have a Ferguson TO-30 tractor, a two-bottom plow, a field cultivator, a drag, a disc, a small sprayer, two hand sprayers, and a couple of home-made things, like five tires chained together pyramid style for leveling. I use a chain saw a lot and brush hog grasses a couple of time a year.

It sounds like you've got a nice set up. Have you had decent luck frost seeding clover? Any tips?

Yes, I have had good luck frost seeding clover. I use a hand held and just broadcast it in the spring, just before the snow melts. The freezing and thawing works the seed into the ground. Give it a try.
