Storing Seed

Sometimes it's hard to get the seed you want in small quantities without paying and arm and leg. About three or four years ago, I bought a bag of brown top millet. This year I planted some by broadcasting. I also checked viability between two damp paper towels. About 80-90% of the seeds sprouted. I use "Tidy Cats" litter buckets to store my seed. The buckets have snap, hinged lids. My sister-in-law has cats and saves the buckets for me. They seem to be mouse proof and water tight, although I keep them in the garage. Give 'em a try.
