dont u justy hate mouthy dogs lol!!!well this judgeing thing is fun i like it even tho u got a few sore losers that make u wondere if its worth it or not.i hope to learn mopre and be the best judge u could ask for . score the dog not the owner of the dog good or bad!

TED PEERCY, And I had dog c that jumped the rabbit, which every handler saw. The bad part was after the crazy judge dead tracked and minused the dog on the clock, we put the dogs on the rabbit that my dog had jumped, she got put on the clock, and got a minus. LOL

How do you get put on the clock on a rabbit that the dogs are put on? If you put on a rabbit all dogs have to be running it and scored on checks.Also how can you be on the clock when the rabbit was already produced?

Ted,

Rick told me that when he judges your dogs' that he just goes ahead and puts one minus down. Something about mouthy dogs or something.

On that cast, in my opinion, Ricky made a bad judgement call. BUT, (and anytime you use a but in a sentence, you forget everything that preceeded it), Ricky is conscientious and honest about his judging. He will bring back the dogs that he feels did the best. On that particular hunt, we had accidentally scheduled a hunt the same day as our sister club-North Franklin County. Ricky drove by that hunt to come help us judge because he knew we would be shorthanded. He prays for me being senile. I pray for his typing skills.
Swamper, I'll have to keep a closer eye on him. LOL Ask him about that 7 iron, Swamper.

We all pray for his typing skills. Maybe someday, we can finally be able to understand what he writes.

As for the 7 iron, lol, I hear his wife has a mean slice when he acts up. ROFL!!!

thanks for the kind words ted even the bad judge ment one lol. heck i aint perfect but i sure try to be,....my typing skilz r excellent i am a great speller but my fat fingers keep hitting too many keys at once and since i am a 2 finger typer i punch enter before i look at it most the time trhen when i read it i just shake my head saying how did that happen......
SWAMPER glad to see she let u out of the closet....
TO ANY THAT MAY have thought i was talking about ted being a sore loser nothing could be farther from the truth i cut up alot but i was not even saying that in jest...ted is a great guy has helped me very much in beagleing and kept me from breaking my golf clubs a few times lol!!
about the 7 iron he beat me one day with his 7 iron and a putter i haD all mine i felt pretty bad about that!

As far as making bad Calls on Judging We all learn By our mistakes If none of us made any How could we learn??? (Dang I should be a genious by now) all we can Do is admit it and Go on and try our best not to make the same ones Twice!!

You have to stay with the dog on the clock. If that dog stays there an picks at the track for 3 min it should get minus 10. If it picks up a goes within the 3 min it should get 10 plus points for dog A and 30 jumps points for dog B. If the handler put the dogs back on the track that dog B stared. You should start scoring from the first check.

The reason you stay with a dog that has been put on the clock is to give it every opportunity to prove it has produced a rabbit. If another dog jumps a rabbit, seen by the entire group of handlers, within 10 yards of where this dog was put on the clock, a rabbit has been produced.

Little Pack Rules

C. Strike

3. A hound that opens on the track and is struck by the judge does not have to jump the rabbit to receive his/her strike points, provided another hounds jumps or produces the rabbit within the allotted time of 3 minutes.

5. The hound that opened and has been struck by the judge shall receive 10 minus points IF no hound in the cast jumps, or produces a rabbit within 3 minutes.
