Dumbass points are a fun way of seeing who is the biggest dumbass. This is a new concept thought up by me and my friends. Now this is how you do it. If someone does or says something stupid, or dumbass like, then you can judge them, or give them points. 1-10. Now keep track of your dumbass points and at the end of the week add them up and see who has the most. This is just another thing to do if you want.
If you still can't figure it out, then here are somethings that you can give dumbass points on.
If someone were to trip on something the yes that is able to give dumbass points on. Now depending how they land what they trip on and how stupid they look depends on how many points you give them. Example, If you were to trip on a shoe that was in the middle of the floor and isnt normally there and you stumble and catch yourself on something you wouldnt get many dumbass points, if any. But if that same person were to trip on the same shoe AGAIN then they would get more points. Now this is very rare but if they were to do it AGAIN then give them bonus points. 15 at the least. If someone were to trip on a wall (you know, the thing that has ALWAYS been there) attemped to catch themselves, miss, and land flat on their dumb ass, then give them more points then then the shoe tripper.
Now this is the less physical part of dumbass points. If you were to get confused by something easily understood, like say...a refridgerator. Then of course give them dumbass points. If someone were to fail the easiest class in the school, like P.E. then a perfect score would do nicely(I mean come on it took them all school year to do that, they gotta be a dumbass). Redtick,i have seen hounds strike in on what i thought was not a rabbit,i've given them their 3 min. and minused them.I don't understand why you must see the rabbit to say they deserve credit for it.
I know you have ran enuff dogs that you know when they're running a rabbit with out seeing it,you said yourself you getting age on ya,so i know you aint seeing them all.
I have a question would you know with out seeing it,if your hounds were running off game??
Like in the past,the problem i have with your statements is the thousands of people who trial in formats other then ukc,you think and say here publicly their hounds titles are bogus or no good,this is an unfair statement from you and i feel you should take it back and apologize to them.
I gun hunt my hounds hard when season is in and run them year round when it isn't,i see the rabbits then to shot them,just as most of the others that trial in LP,but thre are just as many rabbits we don't see to get off a shot,so we're killing rabbits to these dogs that you claim are not worthy on their titles.
So my question is this you go into the field to kill some rabbits for the freezer,dogs jump 20 rabbits you get to see lets say 10 of them to get off a shot,the other 10 you didn't see for not being in position for the shot does this make them unworthy of being a gundog?for you only seen 10 of the 20 you ran,by your explaination they are only half a dog because they would be bogus as a gundog for you didn't see but 10 of their 20 rabbits jumped,i guess the 10 you didn't see were squirrels lol

I ran with a few hounds that were ukc champions(in little pack) pretty nice hounds but my little pack,squirrel runnnin,bogus rabbit dog,smoked their butt period.
You were offered once to run against my hounds,J Murphy offerd to meet you at a trial,if i remember correctly you declined and before you denie this others that have been on this board for awhile will remember all this because you got the axe right after the offer.
My dogs could care less about a title,my hounds could care less about our DEBATING
all my hounds care about are running rabbits either to the gun,caught or hole.
I personnelly invite you here to GODS country to see what your hounds are made of,i believe we could stand to get along for at least one day not hours but for aday or as long as you like,and hell why your at it bring that recorder you like to carry so you can video my INFERIOR hounds kicking the crap out of your world famous hounds!
Think about it you could show the world,all these rabbits here in the moutains of eastern ky and how we can get them all on film because it so easy to stay right on top of it all here LOL You need to get out of Ill alittle more and see that life ain't all a bed of roses

I have scrolled right over a lot of the messages, they just didn't have much to say.
If you all want to debate the issues, I am more than willing. I have some strong feelings about the difference in hunting formats.
I am not attacking Lynn Perkins personally and he may have some great beagles. But, ARHA Little Pack wins do not impress me. And, I have got ARHA LP 1st place wins on my dogs. As for gunshy dogs, the only gunshy beagle I have had in the last 10 year was an ARHA Little Pack Rabbit Champion. I sold her to Merle Crain, cheap. And Merle was glad to get her. He probably made a killing when he sold her or sold pups off of her. Some of Merle's dogs won a lot in ARHA.
As for UKC being perfect, it is not. I would hate to be in a cast with certain UKC officers carrying the scorecard. I have seen some ofthem abuse their office and, in my opinion, not go by their own rules. Some have got fired. Some have not. I have some documents and tape that I would be glad to present in any court of law.
My point of view is that if you are gun hunting, the dog has to bring the rabbit around to where you can see it so that you can harvest it. Beagles have been bred for centuries to circle rabbits to the gun. Any beagle that has not brought the rabbit around to the gun, did not do his job and doesn't deserve plus points. In my opinion, too many formats put form ahead of function. They put track style ahead of bringing a rabbit back to the gun. If they don't consistantly bring the rabbit around to where I can see him, they are culls in my kennels regardless of what titles they have.
You all seem to want to brush the "buddy judging" issue aside. I think it is a significant issue. Yes, you can get a couple of buddies that will do a job on you in UKC but, if you make sure a random draw is used, the chances of drawing out with 2 cheating buddies is far less than you having a buddy judge a guy's dog who is going to judge his dog later. They could have made a deal in the coffeeshop the day before.
I have stood by a number of UKC judges that made mistakes. They can be corrected by the rest of the cast. In ARHA, you have to take what they give you, mistakes or not. There are some posting messages on this thread I wouldn't want judging my dogs. Anyone would know what my chances would be regardless of how well my dogs did.
I didn't invent the term Kentucky Mafia, I saw guys bragging about it on a message board.
And, as for hillbillies, aw shucks. ya all really don't know me. I got gud coondawgs and squirrel dawgs as well as rabbit dawgs and all my buddies could be classified as "backwoods" or "good ole boys". Nope, us'n don't make "shine", or at least we don't brag about it.

If you all want to debate the issues, I am more than willing. I have some strong feelings about the difference in hunting formats.
I am not attacking Lynn Perkins personally and he may have some great beagles. But, ARHA Little Pack wins do not impress me. And, I have got ARHA LP 1st place wins on my dogs. As for gunshy dogs, the only gunshy beagle I have had in the last 10 year was an ARHA Little Pack Rabbit Champion. I sold her to Merle Crain, cheap. And Merle was glad to get her. He probably made a killing when he sold her or sold pups off of her. Some of Merle's dogs won a lot in ARHA.
As for UKC being perfect, it is not. I would hate to be in a cast with certain UKC officers carrying the scorecard. I have seen some ofthem abuse their office and, in my opinion, not go by their own rules. Some have got fired. Some have not. Well since you scrolled right over my reply and you didn't answer my questions i went back to last post and highlighted them for you so you wouldn't have to read it all.You should read it all though,pretty interesting.
You say no attack on me personnelly but you accuse me of being some member of a MAFIA that i know nothing about or want to be part of.I enjoy fellowship with a lot of people i have meet at the trials but have seen not the first one show any favotism toward me period.Sometimes i wish they would have!

Well, I guess my dogs are crap then.
I mean, in the last few months I've had two very long runs (4hrs and 2hrs) and never saw the rabbit.
Now, I know it wasn't a deer because I would have saw it and I know a squirrel ain't gonna stay on the ground that long.
So, you ask why I didn't see the rabbit? Well, it was so thick, no cut lanes and both never crossed the road. However, they ran solid.
Well, mine are AKC dogs so they might have been ghost trailing.
Redtick, you are blessed to hunt in IL, where there are plenty of open fields and such to hunt. Down here, we hunt in BIG thickets, where a rabbit can run in 50 acres or more and never cross a road or cut lane. Some are even to thick to walk through, ie: the 4hr race.
